25.01.2022 Kinder starts soon and thanks to our fundraising efforts throughout 2019 the outdoor area at O’Neil rd has had a little facelift. Can’t wait to see little people performing, dancing and enjoying our new space. Thank to you the staff involved in planning, watering and bringing this area to life.

22.01.2022 Thank you to all of the children and families who came along and supported Beaconsfield Kindergarten at our annual kinder disco on Friday night. We hope you all had lots of fun.

20.01.2022 Will your child turn 4 between the end of December and end of April next year? Are you unsure whether they are ready for 4yo kinder next year? Have you considered enrolling your child in our Kinder Readiness Program (Rainbow Group)? The Kinder Readiness Program (previously known as Deferment): is run by a qualified early childhood teacher... fills the ‘gap’ for children who may be too mature for a 3yo program but aren’t quite ready for 4yo kinder consists of two 2.5-hour sessions per week provides opportunities to develop social skills and engage with peers of a similar age helps children to develop a sense of connectedness and belonging in a large group setting. Children who attend our Kinder Readiness Program go on to 4yo kinder the following year, and then begin primary school in the year they turn 6. We will be holding a Kinder Readiness information session (date TBC), where our educators will talk about what readiness for kindergarten looks like and how some children may benefit from delaying their 4yo kindergarten year. Please comment here or email us at [email protected] for more information or to register your interest in attending.

20.01.2022 Due to popular demand, Beaconsfield Kindergarten is planning to offer a third Bush Kinder program in 2021. If you missed out on a place in our Sapphire or Emerald Groups, or just didn't realise until now how awesome Bush Kinder would be for your little one, we still have places available in our Opal Group for next year. Opal Group's Bush Kinder program is planned to run during their Thursday afternoon session in Terms 2 and 3 (see timetable below). For enquiries, please contact our office at [email protected]

20.01.2022 At this stage, Beaconsfield Kindergarten will remain open this week. If you have a child currently attending our kinder, please make sure you have notifications turned on for Storypark, as this is how we will be notifying families about any updates.

16.01.2022 We get a lot of questions from people wondering what our Bush Kinder programs are all about. Yesterday I came across this short video of our 2019 Sapphire Group, which shows a small snippet of a Bush Kinder session at Wilson Botanic Park. I’ve been told that on this day the children had requested a space where they could climb trees, slide down slopes, explore, discover and have adventures. I think you’ll see that the spot they chose ticked all those boxes! While climbing t...rees, scaling hills and sliding down again, the children are building their gross motor skills, problem solving and developing resilience and independence; all while learning to persist with a task, safely take risks, be aware of those around them and take turns. As you can see, although the children are playing independently, they are under the close supervision of our educators and parent helpers. If you’re interested in learning more about our Bush Kinder program, please contact our office at [email protected] or check out the Bush Kinder page (under the Programs menu) and Gallery of photos on our website www.beaconsfieldkinder.com.au #bushkinder #beaconsfieldkinder #wilsonbotanicpark #sapphiregroup

14.01.2022 Beaconsfield Kindergarten will be running a revised timetable while COVID-19 restrictions are in place. Current families, please see Storypark for further information.

Registration and preference changes can be made at Council's Central Registration Portal https://kindergarten.cardinia.vic.gov.au/Public/Login.aspx Both our O'Neil Rd and Woods St services are rated by ACECQA as 'Exceeding the National Quality Standard', which means that we go above and beyond government standards when educating your children. 13.01.2022 Coronavirus Update In line with the latest Government advice, and in the interests of the health and safety of our children, families and staff, Beaconsfield Kindergarten would like to encourage all families to keep your children at home for the rest of this week if possible. Kinder will remain open on Tuesday 24th March for those who choose to attend. On Wednesday 25th and Thursday 26th March, our educators will still be at kindergarten preparing for the holidays and for wha...t may happen next term. On Wednesday and Thursday, Beaconsfield Kinder will only provide care and supervision, during their usual session times, for children of essential services workers. Kinder will not be open on Friday 27th March and will remain closed for the duration of the school holidays. Families of children currently attending our service should check Storypark for more information.

11.01.2022 At Beaconsfield Kindergarten we pride ourselves on developing strong relationships with children and families each year. The partnerships that we developed during the beginning of 2020 have helped us to continue to support our community through the COVID-19 challenge. With many families choosing to keep their children at home for the time being, we have been able to support the continued learning and development of all of our kinder children, whether attending kinder in perso...n or not. Some of the things we have been doing during Term 2 include: - onsite kindergarten for some children - take home packs, with activities and resources for families to use at home if they want to - Storypark posts, with educators demonstrating activities that children can do at home - Storypark videos of educators reading stories or doing movement and music activities - Zoom meetings for groups of children to connect with educators and each other - sharing, via Storypark, photos and experiences that children have accomplished at home - making regular contact with families via telephone, Storypark and email. Many of our families have also connected with each other via Messenger or closed Facebook groups, which has enabled them to continue to foster the connections that they made Term 1. Our main goal this term has been to keep an educational program running while maintaining relationships between all children, families and their teachers. Ongoing feedback and shared learning moments have helped educators to formulate future plans for our children. We are very grateful for the continued support shown by our community, and the hard work and dedication of all of our educators. Look out for our decorations this week which will support Beaconsfield Primary School’s Brighten Beacy’s Day initiative on Friday.
