11.01.2022 Request for food/Christmas goodies donations Yes, this year has been incredibly hard on many. We as a team have been blessed because we have been able to continue working, occasionally having enforced breaks waiting for Covid test results. But there are many in our neighbourhood doing it really tough (especially a massive increase in homelessness).... I have been in touch with a friend Andrew's and me, Patrick Bulman and asked how we can help. Patrick is the CEO of Encircle (Formerly known as the Pine Rivers Neighbourhood Centre). Patrick has been telling me of the massive need for food help leading up to Christmas. Knowing there are people doing it really tough, I ask for your help. From this Friday we invite you to drop off to our new office any food products and Christmassy goodies, so we can pass them on to Encircle. For example: Breakfast Cereals Sugar Tea/Coffee Tinned food, Tinned fruit Long lasting food (custard or milk) Desserts Tinned meat, Dried goods Pasta and sauce bottles Pet food or Christmas toys for pet Food for Christmas Day/lollies/nibblies Cans or bottles of soft drink, cordial Christmas cakes and puddings Bonbons (the things that go bang) Toiletries: combs and brushes, soap, tooth paste, toothbrushes, sanitary pads This appeal lasts until Thursday 17th December, so we can deliver them the next day. 02.01.2022 We are moving: After 5 years of enjoying our current location, we are on the move again. Over the latter half of next week, we are moving to Brendale.... We apologise that there may be some disruption as we play musical chairs and desks. But we hope to be settled as soon as possible. More details next week. JD
