16.01.2022 Dear Foodies, our Nagambie Members have a battle to save 51 significant trees. BEAM Mitchell Environment Group lends its full support to the Nagambie community and the 51 TREES campaign. These healthy trees predate Nagambie in the main, and the Elloura Lake Nagambie should respect their value to the local environment and the local community. A skilled developer will integrate them into the expanding Estate and celebrate their value. One could not design landscape so beautif...ul, could not afford to create a landscape so important to biodiversity & the community. Please Strathbogie Shire Council listen to the voices of the Nagambie residents and do not destroy the 51 trees and beautiful bushland at Elloura Estate. These ancient trees and vegetation should be preserved for future generations to enjoy. There is a Facebook group called ‘51 Trees’ if BEAMERS wish to learn more.

12.01.2022 How do you decide what food to consume? A good article. We are all local to somewhere and owning, seeing and taking responsibility for our food and how it is grown is imperative. We need to re-engage with the fields that feed us. We need to learn about and care about farming once more.

04.01.2022 Hey Bulk Foodies, Please take a look at this BEAM Mitchell Environment Group petition. Please sign & share We have just 10 years to keep Global Warming below 1.5 degrees. ... Current local plans of zero emissions by 2050 will fall far short of this. Globally, 1500 local and other governments, representing 820 million citizens in 30 countries have declared a Climate Emergency. In Australia, 84 local councils have declared a Climate Emergency. A Climate Emergency Plan will generate strategic local actions to reduce our emissions. We call on Mitchell Shire Council to declare a Climate Emergency and plan to take bold actions to achieve net-zero emissions by 2030.
03.01.2022 This recipe works so well & uses so many bulk foods ingredients. Make ahead & store. Mix & match ingredients. It’s a little time consuming but very worth it. You can change the flavour profile to suit your own tastes. Keep a batch in the freezer ready for step two. Never buy gourmet crackers again!
