24.01.2022 We did a call out recently, asking long-standing customers to get in touch. We were blown away to hear from a customer named Anthony, who first visited our Bellarine Hwy Store on the day it opened in 2008. He has been getting a coffee from Bean Squeeze twice a day, ever since! Your regular store? Bellarine Hwy, Newcomb. How do we fit into your day? I get a coffee on the way to work and on the way home after work during the week, and on the weekends when I drive to and from ...Geelong. The thing that keeps you coming back? The coffee is consistent in flavour, I like the beans you use. I have visited all of your stores and its always the same. Your staff are friendly and welcoming too. Your coffee order? I used to get a stretch latte, but now I get a mid latte with one sugar in my reusable cup How do you spend your days? Ive been in the Community Services sector for just over 10 years. I work with people dealing with substance abuse. Favourite thing to listen to when driving? I love music. I listen to Gold FM or I have my iPod in the car. I love Deep Purples music and music of that genre. Happiest when: Im with family or friends. Your 2020 in one word: Change You see the gift card Anthony is holding in the pic? We have huge respect for his work and we love the way he was able to incorporate iconic Geelong landmarks like the bollards and GMHBA stadium, alongside elements of his take on leave happier. We collaborated with him and Platform Arts Curator, Amber Smith for this project, and we always love seeing your pics of this particular cup. Recently, Josh and his friend Kajeera completed a poetry series, taking requests for themes and crafting short poems to share and connect over during this weird time of social isolation. We recently put the call out to long-standing customers to share their stories with us and Sue got in touch. Sue first visited us 10 years ago and calls by every time shes in Geelong. What initially enticed me was the convenience and friendly staff, but the coffee was surprisingly delicious. There is a knack to keeping customers returning and Bean Squeeze has it.... Smiling, friendly staff, the coffee is always hot, always the same and its a moment in my day I can always rely upon. I usually come into Geelong about once a week and its not complete until my keep cup is filled with a mid-size cap from Shannon Ave. I may be a creature of habit, but Im more than happy with my weekly ritual! My days are busy on a working farm with my husband and theres nothing I love more than to head into Geelong knowing the trip home will be my car filled with the aroma of coffee and smooth 91.5 on the radio. Heres to a 2020 of simple pleasures in life, one filled with peace, happiness, and of course, coffee. Cheers Sue! #coffeeandcommunity
