25.01.2022 Post about my Feelings Alert Since taking time off at the start of the Covid Crisis, I have to admit I have found it really hard to get motivated again. It’s hard to feel confident in the current climate and current restrictions, even though relaxed, have made it really hard to create the connection with customers that we’ve always had. Today I was reminded that even though our business model has temporarily changed, our connections remain the same. We’ve known Xavier & ...his family his whole life, thanks to our shops. Today for Show & Share at School the theme was A Special Place in your Life, and his Mum printed out a few photos of special places to choose from and decided to throw in a Beanbag pic just for fun. Well, Xavier chose our photo to share with the class. When I was told about this, this morning, it changed my whole day. It is a special place to lots of people, young and old, and I’m grateful for the family we have created there. While I have no idea what the future holds for a tiny business like mine, I can guarantee the friendships we’ve created will last a lifetime. 22.01.2022 With an ever changing environment and in trying to keep ourselves, our family and our customers safe we have made the decision to revert back to takeaway service only. The doors will still be open and we will still be following our Covid Safe Plan, we just won't be offering any seats until we feel the risk is minimised. For those who don’t know, today was my last day before having surgery on Friday and then recovering at home for the next 6 or so weeks. 09.01.2022 Hey fam. We’ve been asked a few times so here’s a catch up. Shop Stuff - Doorway counter - even with relaxed restrictions we’re only allowed 5 people at a time inside, including us. If 2 people sit in, that basically means no one else can come in to order takeaway so as long as the 4sq metre rule is in place, the door service will have to stay.... Reduced Hours - because of the door counter we have to have a minimum of 2 staff on. It’s also a bit quieter than usual at the moment. Because of this we’re only opening during our peak hours (Mon-Fri 6am-11am). We won’t be opening Saturday’s until we can guarantee it won’t cost us more than we make. Cupcakes - we are only ordering minimal food. For the same reasons as above, display restrictions and to minimise wastage we’re only stocking 2 or 3 options a time. We have cupcakes coming in fortnightly (due this Thursday) but if you would like to preorder cupcakes please send us a message a week in advance and we can definitely make it happen.
