Let’s also take a minute to acknowledge the empty mothers too. Empty wombs, empty arms, empty cribs...... 21.01.2022 Squeeeee!!! Look at the AMAZING job Kat from Foodie Shots has done with pro photography of a few of our frames! As many of you know (cause I’m always chatty chatty!), we’ve got an updated website on the way and some fresh new brochures, business cards, packaging etc. I have spoken to soooo many photographers over the last few weeks and they made photographing these frames feel like a really big chore to me. I was at my wits end and was recommended Kat from Foodie Shots, and ...despite thinking this wouldn’t be her ‘thing’, she took on my project with open arms, a reassuring confidence in her skills and what an outcome!! Kat blasted through 7 frames in an hour...so I might just become an addict and have a whole online gallery done before you know it! Let me know what you think - would having an online gallery with high quality photos showing our frame and mat board options make it a little easier to conceptualize your framing idea? There is empty space where you had planned comfort and company. There are long days with no one but your little one to talk to and this big transition to navigate all alone. I know it’s lonely, mama. I know the walls of your house feel tight and the days feel so long, and you crave a warm hand on your knee and the soft embrace of a friend. You wish for someone by your side to marvel at this beautiful baby of yours and to wrap an arm around you when the feelings get too big and scary. We were never meant to do this alone. Motherhood has never been a solitary sport. And yet here we are, in this odd chapter of isolation and distance, with no choice but to do it by ourselves. But mama, know this- We are alone. Together. You are surrounded all the other mothers who are navigating this tender time in isolation. You are held by all of us who have walked the path before you and who know how much you must be hurting. Hunter’s mum was so excited to pick up her frame today, and why wouldn’t she be - he’s a stunner! She just called to tell me how in love with the frame they are, and every detail has been captured perfectly. Safe to say I’m having a few happy tears with the family too #autism #autismawareness

01.01.2022 I’m Stacey and I am the proud owner of BearHands! You may also know me as a counsellor, sleep-seeker and wine enthusiast, oh and non-stop life-juggler. Ha! I became interested in the BearHands craft 8years ago when my eldest son was a month old and I was looking for something other than photography to capture his tiny hands and feet. I then went on to have all three of my babies (who are now 8, 6 and 4 years old) casted by BearHands. In 2016 our family made the decision to r...elocate to Toowoomba and I left my job in the Department of Education in Ipswich. I’m a little bit restless and like having lots of things to keep my busy so at the end of 2016 I was fortunate to open the Toowoomba branch of BearHands and build an amazing opportunity for mums and bubs in the community. In 2019 I was offered the opportunity to purchase the ‘Head Office’ and after lots of consideration (I was heading into full time coaching/counselling!) decided BearHands had become my baby of the last 3years and I wasn’t ready to let it go. So I purchased the business and am growing it so others get the opportunity to build an income in a community too. Outside of work I am a huge Jay Shetty fan and participate in Genius coaching weekly, and love to get involved in yoga, indoor gardening, baking and book reading. I spend lots of time on the road too which I quite enjoy as loud music and live events are high on my priority list! I am very lucky I get to create a business that fits around my family and lifestyle, in a sector (bereavement and mum life) that I am passionate about serving. I am so grateful to each of you for supporting me along the way!
