24.01.2022 Hey! You! We have our website up and running, come have a look! https://bearsindicatorbands.com.au

21.01.2022 Being featured on GameFace was awesome! I’m trying to do my bit to raise awareness

21.01.2022 Sizing! We make Bear’s Indicator Bands in four different sizes (from 29cm to 44cm) so they should fit most small people from 18months to 12 years! They should rest on the collar bone so they are loose enough to be comfortable, but not dangling where they can get in the way of official small person business and play, or pulled off over the head and lost. If you need another size, send us a message, we would be more than happy to customize them just for you!

19.01.2022 Today’s physio appointment was great! We are back to an almost normal range of movement! We will continue to use the leg brace overnight, but are now swinging our focus to strength building exercises. The team at Monash Children's Hospital are absolutely wonderful!

13.01.2022 Because this keeps coming as a shock to people

12.01.2022 Half way through a lovely iso walk, the Bear got very limpy. Poor babe is wearing his red band now while we watch Frozen and have some rest time. Immediately big sis asked if he is in pain and if she can help! He is the toughest kid, doesn’t complain and refused to hop in the pram.

09.01.2022 Bear had a full night sleep, no pain complaints today, and for the first time since February NO LIMPING!!! To say we are happy is an understatement!

09.01.2022 Check out the Bear modeling his UnBEARable red band today. Such a tough cookie! (It was really more of a yellow day, but we were working on website pictures and who better to show off our bands!)

07.01.2022 For all of the special needs parent; I see you I see you taking your kid to therapy while your friends take their kids to football or ballet. I see you sneak out of the conversation when all your friends boast about achievements and exam notes.... I see you juggle events and meetings. I see you sitting on the computer for hours investigating what your child needs. I see you make a bad face when people complain about what looks like nonsense. I see you disappear little by little but you keep going beyond for your family. I see you pull strength from weakness with a force you didn't even dream you had. I see you showing respect for teachers, therapists and medical professionals who help your child and help you. Watching you wake up early in the morning to do it all again after another chaotic night. I see you when you're on the edge of the precipice struggling to live. I know you feel invisible, like no one notices. But I want you to know that I see you. I see you push forward always. I see you choose to do everything you can to give your child the best care at home, school, therapy and the doctors. What you do matters. It's worth the struggle. On those days when you wonder if you can make it one more minute, I want you to know I see you. I want you to know that you are beautiful. I want you to know it's worth it. I want you to know that you are not alone. I want you to know that love is the most important thing, and that you are the best at it. And in those days when you see an improvement, those moments when hard work has its reward, and you can taste success, I'll see you then too. And I'm proud of you. Whatever day today... ...you're doing it right. And I see you. Author ~Unknown

07.01.2022 Another hospital day earlier this week. Bear’s knee seems to be showing improvement, but his ankles are a bit swollen with movement being a little limited. He has been complaining of some foot pain. Ultrasound doesn’t show any fluid in the ankles, so that’s something at least!

07.01.2022 This guy is a trooper! Red day. Pain so bad he could barely walk more than 10 steps, but he was so happy to be out in the sunshine, sitting on his fire truck. I love that all our family and friends know exactly where he is at when he wearing his bands.

06.01.2022 Ice for our knees after a big walk. Today Bear made it 450m, which is the longest he has been able to do in months! He always needs such a big rest afterwards. One thing I have learned as a special needs parent, the small victories are the ones most worth celebrating

04.01.2022 This was us at 2am. Awake, cranky, and clutching a random jug he borrowed from Grandpa that he loves (toddlers are weird!) We are struggling with balancing out his medications, and the side effects mean lots of middle of the night screaming and movies. Today might be a Grizzly orange band I think...

02.01.2022 Our Indicator bands come in four eye catching colours, to tell people how you are feeling. Green is Grrreat! Yellow if you’re Bearly feeling it Orange for Grizzly Red’s UnBEARable
