25.01.2022 This is so true. Being creative is exactly that......It doesn’t matter whether it’s good or bad, or judged that way by others.....the act of creating is truly good for the heart and soul. @bearstreetinverloch is busy collating a program of ‘makers workshops’ to be realeased soon. Come and try your hand at pottery, painting, jewellery, weaving, dyeing (& much more) If you would like to be sent a program when it is ready, hop onto our mailing list on our website and we’ll send it along as soon as it’s hot of the presses!!

17.01.2022 So things are starting to take shape @bearstreetinverloch The outdoor deck is done (& dusted) so we can hold makers workshops outdoors on such beautiful days as these. The workshop is FINALLY clad in ancient, recycled battens (and looking pretty schmicko if we do say so ourselves) & the gallery floor is just about ready to be polished. Some exciting collaborations are afoot, and we can’t wait to share it all with you beautiful people. Not too long now!

11.01.2022 The longest journey begins with the first step. You can’t eat an elephant all at once - only a bite at a time. ... No use crying over spilt milk. You are always most tired when you can see the finish line..... Today was a cliche kinda day. We knew it was going to be a long journey and a lot of hard work to make Bear Street happen, and we’re sure feeling it today. Long days on the tools, little sleep, mis-measures and things that just don’t fit have been a little bit trying, but we are getting ever closer to finishing (& welcoming you) to our opening. We’d really love to get more done in a day, but just like that elephant (one bite at a time) we can only do a day at a time....and one day we’ll have that beast eaten (and Bear St finished)!! I knocked over 3 cups of tea on-site today AND locked my keys & the s in the car ....lucky my hubby is handy with wire and managed to get it open. We definitely can see the finish line now & the marathon is nearly done.... but the bones are weary. This is when we need stamina and a big kick up the bum to make it over the line (any encouraging words would be soooo appreciated right now ) But enough of cliches.... we actually made a bit of progress in the makers workshop this week!!!! I can’t wait to get that kiln fired up and meet all you budding potters out there. I look forward to the day we can welcome you all, get our hands dirty and play with clay!
