24.01.2022 Patrick and Roxy practicing off lead structure. This is lovely Roxy Roxy came to us with a number insecurities that were holding her back from finding a suitable forever home. But in a very short space of time, with lots of love, mental stimulation, structure and purpose, she is overcoming her challenges and showing us amazing potential.... We are all incredibly proud of her. Roxy is up for adoption through German Shepherd Dog Rescue NSW (Adoption to an experienced home only).

24.01.2022 I made this BEFORE and AFTER video, so you can get a little glimpse into what we do. This was the only time we met and worked with lovely Harvey and his wonderful, dedicated family/Pack. We met on Thursday 27/Feb/2020 (2 days ago). Look at how amazing he works with his Pack.... Dogs are highly intelligent creatures, Their ability to pick up and retain new patterns, gives them an incredible advantage to learn and adapt very quickly. In order to help a dog to learn new coping tools, one must have a consistent way to generate value out of vocal cues. Generating value for the purpose of praise and reward, or for direction/command. Love, affection and clear direction, gets no objection! This dog is a little beauty and his pack leaders/owners are absolute legends.

24.01.2022 Meet sweet little Pumpkin, Pumpkin came into the pound as a stray, very timid and afraid. And found himself on death row. Rescue Hub saved him at the last minute from certain death. He was so terrified, he had to be carried out to the car.... Pumpkin came to stay with us for a bit, to build up his confidence, receive lots of love, good food and learn some basic structure so he can make a smooth transition into a new home. A big thank you to SavourLife for funding and supporting pumpkins rehabilitation Thank you for helping to save lives. Check out this cute little fella. He’s been with us for 1 week. How could someone justify killing such a sweet little creature?? Look what a little time, love and direction can do.

20.01.2022 Leia (The Blonde Dog) and Roxy practising some synchronising with Patrick. These girls have both had incredibly difficult starts to life. With love, guidance and a new found purpose in life they are learning to build self confidence, overcome insecurities and learn to live as happy dogs. It is very important to both us and the Rescue (German Shepherd Rescue NSW) that these girls only go to the most suitable of homes. ... Both dogs are up for adoption, to experienced homes only. 19.01.2022 Archie is a unique absolutely beautiful, intelligent, sweet young cattle dog x, Archie is Deaf, but as you can see this has not held him back. Archie responds to a range of visual cues, he’s trained to heel beautifully on lead and off lead, sit, stay, bed, move, here, in, out, up, down, eyes up, leave it, and free. He’s a very responsive bloke, he’s social and playful with other dogs If introduced properly. This is just a small clip of Patrick and Archie going through one of ...their routines. Archie is ready for his new home. Please feel free to contact Deaf dogs Rescue Australia if you are interested in adopting Archie

15.01.2022 G’day everyone In 1 or 2 weeks we will be back to seeing clients again Yeeehaaaa! I’m also working hard on detailed instructional videos from basic structure to reactivity with people and other dogs,... so you can work with your own dog in your own environment. they are still in the making. But here is a small video that I made when my wife’s uncle and her cousin came out for some training with will the new dog they adopted. What a beauty of a dog I hope you enjoy!

15.01.2022 CHECK OUT THIS BEFORE AND AFTER VIDEO. This video was filmed over one training Session. Meet beautiful Bella, who was rescued by a wonderful family. Bella is a lovely dog, but tends to exhibit reactive tendencies when she meets dogs, due to her insecurity/fear (the anticipation of a negative outcome) when encountering dogs, (either due to bad experiences, a lack of experience, or a bit of both).... We worked on her ability to follow directions, so we could communicate with her when she felt vulnerable and guide her mind from fight mode to a responsive state of mind. Bella, Rhett and Natasha have work to do, to take what they learnt on the day and apply it consistently to their world. Confidence = the ability to anticipate a positive outcome from the given scenario, can only come from experience. I have all the faith in Rhett, Natasha and lovely Bella. they are so caring, devoted and committed, I know they’ll do brilliantly. See more

14.01.2022 Meet Mouse or as we call him S.Mouse! Saved by Best Friend Fur Ever Rescue Inc. He came to us exhibiting reactive tendencies towards other dogs. Watch how at the beginning of the video he is behaving in a reactive manner towards other dogs, and by the end of the video playing beautifully with other dogs.... Goes to show you, every dog can learn new ways. After establishing a working relationship with Mouse, and getting him in a responsive state of mind, we introduced him to my lead dog Big Bull (who’s in the video), very quickly we discovered that hidden under those nerves, Mouse had great social skills with other dogs. We introduced him to lots of dogs, and he’s as social as a bought one. I suspect that he was socialised as a pup, but at some point he got put in a compromising position where he felt the need to defend himself and ended up in an altercation with another dog, kick starting self preservation mode (fight or flight response) after that his next interactions with other dogs would have made him feel a bit uneasy anticipating another potential bad experience, making him more susceptible to exaggerated reactions to pressure in those scenarios, making it more likely for him to cause his own bad experience. After a couple of bad experiences, he anticipates it and will default to fight or flight the moment he senses a dog in his vicinity. Being on a leash removes the Flight mode variable out of the equation, leaving him with Fight mode as his most viable option. Learning to use the responsive side of the brain, learning to trust someone else’s judgement over his own, learning to walk away from pressure when confronted or uncomfortable, going over those things that he previously had negative experiences with and replacing those negative experiences with consistent positive experiences has really brought out the true personality in this loveable little fella. No dog really wants to fight! Every dog craves safety and security! He’s a good little man! He deserves only the best! Check out his video

12.01.2022 Position Available.

P.s. in this video I’m working with a dog I’ve already worked with, but I’ll make the videos with dogs that aren’t already trained so you can properly see how they transition from reactive to responsive.
