NO.... Am I motivated every single second of every day? NO. Do I try new methods, techniques/make changes & they always work? NO. Am I perfect? Absolutely NO. 20.01.2022 DO LIGHT WEIGHTS EVEN DO ANYTHING OR SHOULD I JUST LIFT HEAVY? We use light dumbbells/Weights in classes regularly so I thought I’d clear that question up Here’s 3 benefits of lifting light weights shown in a recent study:... ENHANCED STRENGTH A study performed compared the merits of lifting heavy and light weights. Interestingly, the results showed no significant strength differences between the group assigned to lift heavy weights and the group assigned to lift light weights. Opting for a lighter weight (and more repetitions) It's your effort that matters not the weight of your dumbbells. If you're lifting lighter weights, you'll be able to work for longer periods before tiring. BETTER RANGE OF MOTION Oftentimes, the heavier the weight, the poorer the range of motion and the less you will benefit. An advantage of using lighter weights is that they can enable you to perform the full range of motion for a specific movement. A greater range of motion means increased flexibility and greater muscle strength. Lighter weights will also allow the targeted muscle to handle the load without needing help from compensatory muscles, ensuring you get the most out of your workout for that particular muscle group. REDUCED CHANCE OF INJURY Opting for lighter weights can also reduce your chance of injury, as your body isn't tasked with lifting more weight than it can support. If you're using lighter weights, you can focus solely on form and technique helping you avoid injury and benefit from your time in the gym. Every class we run through a warm up, boxing track, arms track, squats tracks, hip hop, abs/Floor track & SO much more! Every track has only 4 simple moves so it’s EASY to follow It’s all about having FUN & POSITIVE VIBES every workout. HOW LONG DO CLASSES GO FOR? IM BUSY SO NEED CONVENIENT WORKOUTS? That’s fine, I understand being a Mum or full time work is tricky to juggle so classes vary from 20mins, 30mins & then 50mins depending on what you pick to do or have time for that day. I CANT STICK TO A SPECIFIC TIMETABLE, ARE THE CLASSES AVAILABLE 24 HOURS? 08.01.2022 Are you struggling to start your health or fitness journey? Heres a tip below however the first thing to remember is everybody starts their journey is a different place - Not everybody looks the same when it comes to fitness. Our bodies respond differently to different things, and our perception and relationship with our bodies, exercise, and food are complex. It’s so important to keep this in mind as we move along our fitness journey.... THE BEST WAY TO GET STARTED IS TO SET SUSTAINABLE GOALS Setting sustainable, clear goals may seem like an overwhelming task but making effort to do so is a very important step, as it keeps you accountable and makes assessing the progress much easier. One of the easiest ways to set goals is by using the SMART approach, which describes goals as: S = Specific M = Measurable A = Attainable R = Relevant T = Time-based When setting a goal, every single criterion should be met! For instance, lose some weight is a very vague goal that is not likely to get you anywhere as it has little meaning and accountability to it. Likewise, lose 10 kg in a week is not a great goal either, as although it possesses some of the SMART attributes, it’s hardly attainable. Some good examples of SMART goals for fitness and nutrition include: Lose 2 kg of body fat in a month in order to get closer to a healthy weight range Increase to 4 online fitness classes from 2 within 2 months" Prepare lunches and dinners for the work week ahead on this coming Sunday By having clear goals structured like this, you are increasing the likelihood of staying on top of everything and assuming full responsibility for your progress. 05.01.2022 Rocky Road Protein Bars (GF, V) Save this recipe for later INGREDIENTS... 80g chocolate protein powder (I recommend @macromike50g smooth nut butter 20g sticky sweetener of choice (I use rice malt syrup)10g cacao powder20-30ml almond milk (only add as needed to bind) 50g inclusions of choice marshmallows, choc chips, nuts, dried fruit, lollies- METHOD: 1. In a mixing bowl, add your dry ingredients and stir to combine. 2. Pour in the almond milk and nut butter, and continue stirring. 3. Fold through the inclusions. 4. Using your hands, start to knead the mixture into a dough, and using a rolling pin, roll flat onto a piece of baking paper. 5. Place your protein dough in the freezer to set for up to an hour, before cutting into 5 bars. Keep chilled. - STORAGE Store in the fridge for up to 10 days or keep frozen for up to 1 month. - Serves: 5 bars Macros per bar: 180 calories, 10g fat, 7g carbs, 16g protein See more

04.01.2022 HEALTHY FISH TACOS INGREDIENTS FISH:... 4 pieces 4 oz each skinless firm white fish such as cod, (or snapper fillet, mahi mahi), fresh is best, if frozen thawed 1/2 teaspoon cumin 1/2 teaspoons kosher salt 3/4 teaspoons lime chili seasoning, such as Tajin Classic FOR THE SAUCE (make 1/2 cup): 1/4 cup fat free Greek Yogurt 3 tablespoons light mayonnaise 1 tablespoon lime juice 1-2 tablespoons water, to thin 3/4 teaspoon chili-lime seasoning salt, such as Tajin Classic 1/8 teaspoon kosher salt FOR THE SLAW: 1/4 cup chopped cilantro 1 cup white cabbage, sliced 1 cup red cabbage, sliced 1/4 cup shredded carrots 1 tablespoon olive oil 1 tablespoon lime juice 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt 8 corn tortillas, charred on the open flame 30 seconds on each side lime wedges, for serving INSTRUCTIONS Season fish with salt, ground cumin and Tajin. Combine the ingredients for the sauce in a small bowl and refrigerate until ready to eat. Toss the slaw ingredients and keep cold. Place on preheated skillet and spray with olive oil, cook 4 to 5 minutes on each side until fish is just opaque and charred. Break up in large chunks. Char the tortillas over an open flame on the burner or in a skillet about 30 seconds on each side, stack on a plate covered with a towel to keep warm. Assemble tacos. Place slaw on the bottom of each tortilla, top with fish and drizzle with sauce, serve with lime

02.01.2022 INTRODUCING MYSELF TO EVERYONE NEW I’m Jenna, I’m 34 & a Mum to a gorgeous 21 month old boy, partner to an amazing guy Blake & also Mum to a loyal pug who sometimes comes to classes Im a Kiwi (New Zealander) I moved to Perth in 2010 to pursue a role in the iron ore mines & then got relocated to Melbourne in 2016 to pursue a new career opportunity ... I used to work in a corporate role prior to having my son &!starting classes I once travelled to Thailand by myself & trained @tigermuaythai for 3 weeks just to push myself out of my comfort zone Im a coffee addict, can NOT start the day without one I once abseiled down a massive building (150ms) to raise money for a childrens hospital I grew up on a farm & went to boarding school at age 12, which I made some amazing lifelong friends through I went to the Nationals for Dog Trials at the age 13 & am a MAJOR animal lover I love building people up & want everyone to feel valued & seen. I’m a sucker for the underdog & I don’t follow the crowd, I like to stay unique, stay true & real then hopefully inspire others to as well I used to be really unhealthy & not look after my body, I have done multiple body transformations - I now have a huge passion for health & fitness, I absolutely love moving my body & hope to inspire others to as well. I’m currently studying Fitness further to develop more of a knowledge bank to share I have no family in Melbourne so my partner & I juggle my son to make both our businesses work, we’re not quite ready for day care so sometimes I work late into the night or early mornings to get everything done That’s enough about me, tell me more about you?!
01.01.2022 CARAMEL CHOCOLATE DOUGHNUT COOKIES If your looking for yummy guilt free treats the family can enjoy def give these a try Makes 6 (GF + VF) ... INGREDIENTS: For the cookies 110g oat flour. Rolled oats ground into a flour in the food processor. Use gluten-free oats if necessary 2 tbsp brown or coconut sugar 1/4 tsp salt 1/2 tsp baking powder 2 tbsp maple syrup 2 tbsp coconut oil, melted 2 tsp milk of choice (I used oat milk) For the peanut butter caramel 5 tbsp runny peanut butter or tahini (Use Tahini to make it nut free) 1 tbsp maple syrup Chocolate coating 150g dark chocolate, melted METHOD: Preheat your oven to 180C/160C fan/350F Mix all the cookie ingredients in a bowl, then divide the mixture between 6 doughnuts silicon moulds. Press down into the moulds and bake for 15-20 minutes. Leave to cool in the moulds. Mix the peanut butter and maple syrup in a small bowl, then spread over the cookies in the moulds. Place the moulds in the freezer for 1 hour to allow the caramel to set, then carefully remove from the moulds and dip in the melted chocolate or drizzle the melted chocolate on top. Place on a baking sheet lined with baking paper, then place in the fridge to allow the chocolate to set. Store in an air-tight container at room temperature for up to 5 days.
