20.01.2022 Self Care Saturday! . It's not often these days that you'll find me on the other side of the yoga room (i.e. on my own mat practicing a class, instead of teaching a class)... Life with 2 little people and no extended family around us makes it hard for my practice to take place at the studio (most of the time). It's usually more of a philosophical practice, a meditation wherever possible, or a few mindful asana while one baby sleeps... BUT today was different! I escaped the ch...aos of 2 bubbas for a WHOLE afternoon of Yoga! And goodness me - I needed it! . Thank you so much @yogimarkqimark for a beautiful low, slow and flow. This challenge started life as a test to complete 25 push-ups over 25 days in order to raise and spread awareness and beautiful Kylie has evolved it into a set of meaningful tips to overcome it over 25 days. . I've given it some thought and I am going to do something a little different again...... . If you feel called - and you have experienced PTSD in any form, please just leave me a black in the comments along with the year you experienced it or were diagnosed. My aim is to get to 25 hearts - to show how common Post Traumatic Stress Disorder can be. . You don't need to explain it. You don't need to compare it. 06.01.2022 As of yesterday - 1st June, restrictions are starting to ease in NSW. . 20 ppl are now allowed to attend a Wedding. 50 ppl are now allowed to attend a funeral. 10 ppl are allowed to meet outside in public.... . BUT this is not 'the end'. . Far from it, as we navigate these unchartered waters. Some businesses are able to open again and some (our beloved yoga studios for example), frustratingly are not. . And even for those who CAN. How they have fully been affected by the closures financially, remains to be seen. . SO - let's continue to find new ways to celebrate our small independent, local businesses! Let's hold each other up! Recommend them where we can, smile if you see them open!
