24.01.2022 I've taken this from a comment in another post - history should stand proud. And there's a lot of it in this sport and I'd like to think some of you have it hidden away ready to show the rest of us. Posted by Bernard Williams - Belmont Queen's 1972. Does it sound bad when I say, "that's almost 50 years ago?" Much has changed but there is so much that is recognisable to us ... in 2020. Isn't it great to think that we are still shooting on the hallowed turf at Belmont and many other ranges! QRA Queensland Rifle Association - lots of history.

24.01.2022 Beaudesert Rifle Club has a very full schedule for this weekend and not just on our range! ON THE RANGE Sunday will see RIMFIRE at 8am at the range. It's always popular and growing! Great to see the interest. ... Following rimfire is FULL-BORE at 11am and that will be at 500 yards. It's always a fun range and one where the mirage at Beauy starts to play hard. We are constantly seeing new faces trying our sport @ Beaudesert. This is a reflection of the time that many are putting into our club and our range. The coaches, those doing the upgrades and maintenance on the range and targets, those pulling targets for Sporter/Hunter, the RO's, the guys running the safety courses should take a bow. The result of your work is a healthy group of happy shooters on the mound each week and a growing interest in our sport. OFF TO BELMONT A large contingent of 9 Beaudesert shooters will be headed for Belmont to contest the Eric Murray Shield. They are across 4 teams for SEDRA going up against MDRA and DDDRA. It shows the strength of Beaudesert Rifle Club and the shooters it is progressively developing within the sport! We wish them well. To all, have a great weekend. Stay out of the heat if you can and if everything else fails, JUST HAVE FUN!

22.01.2022 15/11/20 300y Some hot and sweaty conditions greeted us today. 21.01.2022 For many years it has become the 'norm' to use electronic targets of various types at our ranges. Of late, I've noticed an even greater number of clubs swinging to the technology. Times are changing. Let's not forget the friendships that have been forged through the years from shooting and pulling targets. At a casual glance, you can see how busy the butts were pulling targets during the QRA Queens at Belmont in 1990. Looks more like the 'stock exchange'! Champions all!

17.01.2022 Congratulations Mia Lowe (Goondiwindi) - well done on your selection to the State Women's Team (competing in April 2021 in Victoria). All that hard work and dedication has paid off and this is just the start. You're a champion in everything you do! Did I mention we're all very proud of you? Michelle - on behalf of all the Beauy shooters!

16.01.2022 I honestly believe that we can achieve writing a pictorial history of this sport from the very early years - each club / range finding photos and 'oral histories'. Many things are lost by simply being thrown out as people pass and others find no importance. Let's not see that happen in this great sport. Maybe we can create a national archive of this sport's history. What a wonderful gift that would be to future generations.

16.01.2022 Are you interested in becoming a range officer? Beaudesert Rifle Club is running a course on 6 March 2021. If anyone is interested in becoming a range officer, I will be holding a course on the 6th of March at the range. I will be covering Full bore, Service rifle and Field/rimfire classes and range procedure training. A small cost of $10 will be charged to cover my printing costs. Registration will be at 8.30am and the course will take about 3-4 hours. Phones, palmtops and... laptops will be an advantage to view the SSR but if you wish to print a copy, please bring it with you. I will need names so send me an email so I can book you in or put your name down in the file on the table at the club house. Call Jeff on 0412645735 for more details.
