25.01.2022 TERM 2 LEARNING INTENTIONS From Wednesday 29 April public schools are open for all students whose parents/carers choose to send them to school. Parents have been given a choice about whether their children return to school for face-to-face teaching or learn from home. This is a personal decision influenced by each familys circumstances. To assist the school in planning for your children we would appreciate if you could indicate your current intentions.... Thank you to all our families for your continuing support.

09.01.2022 Don’t recommend doing this with your pooch and brioche loaves at feeding time! Show your kids for a laugh and whatever you do... if you try it, don’t put vegemite on the bread... you won’t get a pic in time!! ...

09.01.2022 This month we are looking at what it means to be an actively engaged dad, why it is important for you and your kids to do things together, and provide a few tip...s to encourage engagement with your kids they will love it and so will you. Take a look at these tips from Dr Bruce Robinson. http://ow.ly/atOK50C8GMJ See more

08.01.2022 Dear Community You may have seen media coverage over the weekend regarding a Western Australian Police investigation that has uncovered a series of online grooming offences against young people in the wider community. Charges of this nature are unsettling and we want to make sure that all parents/carers remain aware of the importance of cyber safety. I also want to reassure you that there is no indication that any of these grooming offences have taken place at our school. ... I know you are best placed to talk to your children about cyber safety and there are many resources to help guide you through this on the Department of Education website. Other online resources are available on the eSafety Commissioner website. This weekends story may lead to children being more aware of these types of offences and wanting to disclose information. The Departments parent helpline, 1800 882 345, is available for you to call if you have any questions or concerns, and is staffed by psychologists, child protection officers and principals. The phone line is available from 8.00am to 4.00pm this Monday to Friday. If you have any general concerns or questions, please do not hesitate to contact me on 62063100 Kind regards, Jo Stephens PRINCIPAL

05.01.2022 Picking up your kids at 2.40pm ...please exercise physical distancing and as soon as you have your child/ren go to your car. Now is not the time for chatting when kids are trying to find their parents at the Kiss N Drive. I know that this has been an issue earlier in the week, but it seems we are gradually reminding ourselves about how important it is to move on as soon as your child is with you. We will get to the point where we can get back to normal, but we are not ther...e yet. We are not totally clear of Covid19 yet, and we put ourselves at risk of a second wave if we dont do all the great things we have been doing in WA to be the leaders of our nation in this crisis! I joined Mrs Attwood and Mr Ariti at the front gate pick up today. The process of our parents using the kiss and drive and moving forward was excellent! Thank you all so much for working with us in this process. Also parents waiting at the gate today were exercising very good physical distancing which was awesome to see. Thank you all.... you set a great example for your children and a few others who still need more time to understand what safety for children is all about. I cannot believe what I saw today with a father stopping in a no standing zone opposite our Kiss n Drive... and encouraging his son to run across the road in oncoming traffic! This is not okay. We will be ramping up the Joondalup ranger doing the rounds for the next few weeks to make sure safe pick up is achieved. Thank you again our wonderful Beaumaris Community - you are awesome and we appreciate your support to your school and the safety of all children. Kind regards Jo
