22.01.2022 If you are a musical theatre fan, chances are you have seen the incredible talents of Grace Kingsford and Genevieve Kingsford. For today's #theatreathome video, Grace and Genevieve bring us this spectacular performance of 'Come to My Garden/ Lift Me Up' from 'The Secret Garden'. 'The Secret Garden' is a musical based on the much-loved children's novel by Frances Hodgson Burnett. In 'The Secret Garden' Mary Lennox arrives at her uncles home to find distant grieving relatives... and an uncared-for garden. The story centers around the orphaned Mary as she and a young gardener breathe new life into the secret garden. Mary blossoms too, and through this, she tends to all the hearts around her. 22.01.2022 Brontë by Polly Teale is an extraordinary play that evokes the real and imagined worlds of the Brontës sisters, as their fictional characters come to haunt their creators. Today Emma Stewart brings us a monologue from this powerful play. Emma is a former DK Productions student, played Minnie May in our 2008 production of Anne of Green Gables and is a graduate from FedUni Arts Academy.

18.01.2022 As Waters Rise is a play by Ben Weatherill is set in the year 2025 when a flood has left Britain in a state of emergency. Originally planned for a stage production, it is now a three-part audio drama directed by Alex Brown and featuring teenage actors from the Almeida Young Company, who recorded their parts in isolation during lockdown. As Waters Rise has been released as part of Shifting Tides, a digital festival exploring the intersection between art, activism and the clim...ate crisis. 12.01.2022 I felt heartbroken for everyone in the performing arts industry who wasnt able to work, Boud says so he asked Amanda McGuigan from the Australian Ballet and Tyrel Dulvarie from Bangarra Dance Theatre to collaborate on the project. Dulvarie, pictured here, says: Walking on a stripped, under-constructed stage, there was no audience, no excitement, no adrenaline, no nerves just emptiness ... The play tells the story of fifteen-year-old Christopher has an extraordinary brain - exceptional at maths, while ill-equipped to interpret everyday life. He has never ventured alone beyond the end of his road, he detests being touched and he distrusts strangers. When he falls under suspicion for killing his neighbours dog, it takes him on a journey that upturns his world. In this monologue, the talented Caity Leong takes on the role of Judy, Christopher's mother.

Today Anne brings us a beautiful performance of 'Good Enough For Me' from the musical 'Scotland, PA'. This deliciously dark new musical comedy, based on the cult film (and the bard's Macbeth), springs to life in a sleepy Pennsylvania town (population 1,203and dropping), where a burger-joint manager and his wife cook up a plan to super-size their lives. As their ambitions grow and the bodies fall, the couple finds out just how far theyll go for a taste of the oh-so-tempting American dream.

The play explores a Black working class man searching for truth and confronting his relationship with Great Britain. Death of England: Delroy was the first live production at the National Theatre since closing its doors due to Coronavirus. 03.01.2022 Our Theatre might have been closed since March, but we have still been hard at work. Well, the incredible team at Duncan Thompson Extensions and Lynda French have been hard at work. Over the last few months, they have extended our bio box, repaired stairs, and increased storage. Our Committee recently gathered at the Theatre to tour and toast the beautiful new bio box.
