24.01.2022 As an avid people-watcher, I've always been bewitched by twins I love stories of twins who are so similar they've grown up to marry people of the same name, buy the same breed of dog and type of car... it's as though their soul was split into two bodies at birth. I equally adore the twins who are nothing like each other! Identical in looks, but completely different tastes, likes and ways of being ... 21.01.2022 There are no cool pictures of me as a kid, certainly not as a teenager. In the photos that do exist, I look awkward, gangly and uncomfortable with a stiff cheesy smile on my face At a time when image is important, I think it's important for kids to see 'behind the curtain' of what goes into making images. There's no magic, it's a very democratic process - good light, lots of direction, good photography, and feeling comfortable enough to sink into the idea of a 'cool' ima...ge. Something you won't be embarrassed by when your Mum puts it up on the wall for all your mates to see over the next few years... These 4 boys are the sons of a gorgeous girl I went to school with, but hadn't seen since. 10.01.2022 I get that this kind of raw, squishy reality isn't everyone's cup of tea in an image... but it's mine, wholeheartedly, every day - I want THIS This is my gorgeous client Belinda and her girls, but I can barely look at this image without crying - this hits me HARD, right in the feelies. I tell my kids that it doesn't matter how old I get, there will ALWAYS be room for them on my lap, and that I hope to god they take me seriously on that. These squishy cuddle days fly by all ...too fast... He chose to serve and enlisted just 3 days after his 18th birthday. This week has been all about family time, stories, generations, legacy, photographs and memories. The exact same things I've created my business around. ... Photographs exist for those who aren't there. Whether that's someone you've loved and lost, someone down the line who's yet to be, or simply a younger version of yourself to look back on in old age, and remember.
