It is specifically designed around 2020 stress management, focusing on tools to help physical and mental health. If anyone is interested in attending, this first series is free of charge. 07.01.2022 I finally finished A return to love by Marianne Williamson on Friday. It’s one of those books I secretly never wanted to finish (because it’s so inspiring) so it’s been sitting next to my bed for the last 2 months with only 10 pages to go. Of course it was divine timing that I finished it on Friday, because there is a section right at the end on Easter which I’ve been pondering about every since. Marianne talks about Easter as a symbol of resurrection, a reason to hope when... all things seem lost. The possibility for new beginnings that seems impossible when all has gone wrong. A shift out of the darkness and into the light. The ‘aha!’ moment when we realise that we need wait no longer to see ourselves as healed and whole. Pretty fitting for the times don’t you think? 07.01.2022 I received this beautiful #selfcare calendar from @simone.c.dv for Christmas. Today’s reminder is to ~ be aware of your environment. To take a few minutes to stop, be still, and notice the sounds, smells and images around you This is something I practice everyday as a part of my morning ritual. I commit to spending 5-15 minutes outside in our communal garden; observing the trees, listening to the birds, smelling the roses and herbs. Picking up fallen flowers, bare feet i...n the grass. At first, a quite strange, foreign practice (which I was a bit embarrassed about) has now become something I never want to live without It has been scientifically proven that being outdoors reduces stress levels, helps you to find clarity, and rejuvenates your mind and body. It has immensely improved my state of wellbeing and has been one of the greatest healings to my anxiety. She is called #MotherEarth for a reason ~ she is always there for us, with an open, loving, supportive embrace. It’s never too late to reconnect with her. What does connecting to nature mean to you? Highly recommend if you’d like to understand the science behind g r o u n d i n g How connecting to Earth’s electrical energy promotes physical health. Just like the sun provides us with energy and vitamins, the earth is a source of subtle energy that contributes to our wellbeing . Studies have shown many positive results. Some of these include: Improved sleep... Decreased pain and inflammation Reduced feelings of stress . And all it takes is skin to Earth (think barefoot on the grass, desert, beach). . Lapping it up today with the intention of being barefoot on Mama Earth more oftenIt has always made me feel SO good and now I know why! 04.01.2022 My wonderful friends, it’s mental health awareness week. Something I hold very close to my heart, and one of the reasons I teach yoga. My bestie said to me the other day, yoga is a gift, Cath. It is like receiving a gift each time I do a class. And yes it truly is. It is a gift of improved health (with many tools to calm the busy mind), a gift of inner peace (through awareness and acceptance), a gift of softening and r e l e a s e. ... And I’d love nothing more than to offer you that gift this week. So tomorrow, if you’d like to join me on the mat, I’ll be giving a 40 minute class at 4pm via Zoom (that’s 8am SA/Europe time, 7am UK time). 04.01.2022 A whirlwind of emotions and feelings these last 2 days. Starting with panic and fear of not getting back to my husband in Aus. Determination, positivity, laughter (the hysterical kind), hope . Followed by exhaustion, anger and irritation, a sense of giving up, rejection, tears... checking my temperature, am I getting sick or am I just really warm? Hunger, video call LoLs that ignite that happy hormone within. Peace and appreciation for all the things. So much freedom to do w...hatever I want but at the same time feeling quite trapped. Fear again, a sinking feeling in the pit of my stomach as I see another acquaintance has contracted the virus. Confusion, information overload. Loneliness, but wait.. a beautiful feeling of connection to others in this loneliness. Childlike joy, relief from some positive news. Phew It’s all so interesting. Observing what has been going on in this mind of mine. Noticing my triggers and what lights me up. As human being we often get hijacked by our emotions when things suddenly stop going our way (I have certainly had a few ‘moments’ that I’m not too proud of). When we develop awareness and learn to notice and observe these emotions without allowing them to lead or overstay their welcome - that’s where the magic lies.. we can let go a lot easier, move on a bit faster and continue to lovingly ride the waves in the sea of life . 03.01.2022 As some of you know, I’ve recently started running again. Giving the @officialc25k challenge a go with accountability buddy @alexlitkie It’s an app that gets you from the couch to 5kms in 8 weeks. We’re on week 7 and things are suddenly getting serious. Running only which has made me feel a bit uncomfortable after all the weeks prior having nice walk breaks in between. But staying in one spot won’t get ya anywhere so working though the discomfort, and surprising myself along the way. Today I smashed another run - 25mins no walking Just short of 5k Also noticing how the more I run the more my body needs some attention after. Consciously slowing down the breath, listening to what my body needs. The hammies, hips and knees were talking (quiet loudly) to me today so best I listen and give them some LOVING

It’s so wonderful to have a community where you can share experiences, expertise, your ups and downs and hold space for each other.
