Winter is harsh on your skin, but while we’re all ahead of the game by now when it comes to protecting our face, our hands can still take quite a beating when the temperatures fall and the wind howls. There’s no escape from the onslaught indoors either as air-conditioned and over warm homes, shops and offices all conspire to dry out and damage the delicate skin of our hands. The combination of different factors at this time of ye...ar can leave the skin on your hands so dehydrated that they crack, peel, and even bleed. So how can you protect your hands this winter? Put Up a Barrier. Protecting your skin starts with a moisture-sealing barrier. Your skin’s natural barrier is made up of proteins, lipids, and oils, and it usually works pretty well. If it’s weakened it leaves you prone to skin conditions like eczema, and symptoms that include itching, inflammation and drying out. The key is to stop it from losing moisture as much as possible in the first place, and replace any that you do lose regularly. See more

We also remind you that we are here to help look after you during this stressful time. This is what we are doing at the salon, many of which were already part of our standard practices.... * When you arrive at the salon, please wash your hands or use hand sanitiser provided at the front desk, we also have sanitiser wipes available in all our treatment rooms. * All our linen is all washed using both a washing detergent and linen sanitiser. * All rooms are cleaned between clients and equipment that is used regularly is cleaned and sanitised. * Our eftpos machines, communal computers/phones, reception desks and waiting areas will continue to be cleaned and sanitised frequently. We ask you that if you have any: If you have any viral symptoms or are sick, please call us and we will help you to post pone your appointment until you are well enough to attend and recommend you seek medical advice. We don't want to put other clients at risk by sharing the same facilities. If you have travelled overseas and have viral symptoms, or have been around someone with a confirmed case of Coronavirus we ask that you please notify our staff and postpone your appointment for at least 14 days. You can speak to your doctor about arranging screening for yourself. As with any appointment that needs to be rescheduled, we appreciate as much notice as possible to be able to offer appointment times to our wait-lists. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding, and we will endeavour to keep you updated with any developments.
