23.01.2022 This really could not be truer. And I am totally guilty of this currently. I have allowed myself to get run down, depleted and exhausted. I could blame my kids constant demanding of me. But in truth it is my fault for not taking the time to look after myself. Instead of filling my body full of goodness, I have been filling it full of quick fixes and convenience. Instead of doing yoga, I've been too tired or in too much pain or too run down. ... For about two months I have been battling a terrible cold that has had me by the throat, and it just would not shift, coming back in waves when I thought it was going. But I feel a shift. I have decided to make a change. I have booked back into my favourite yoga class with @jem.imah, and I am now stepping down a bit from doing everything, and making sure I love myself, so that I am full to the brim and can share myself generously and healthily. So this post is a reminder to us all to take time for ourselves. We can not give the best of ourselves if we constantly just give ourselves. We must stop and care, love and replenish our bodies. 17.01.2022 Home made face masks from the pantry! Something I used to do regularly pre motherhood, but has been a very rare occurrence since. But with this new shift I have felt within, I felt compelled to make a richly nourishing mask for my tired neglected skin. Ingredients for this basic yet powerful facemask:... Oats Banana Pomegranate powder Almond oil Filtered water Mixed ingredients together, blasted in the blender, then mixed with water to a smooth consistency. Smeared it all over my face and left on until it dried out slightly (time is Quantum as a mother), then rinsed off with tepid water and applied my Opulent Solid Moisturising Lotion. 14.01.2022 Yes we love fragrance, but should it be in everything? Over exposure to synthetic fragrances can cause many skin irritations, plus it's not something you want to allow your skin to absorb. Over exposure to essential oils (EO) can cause skin irritations and a lot worse because they are so concentrated and potent. They should be used with as much care as you would use medications.... In fact, if you are on certain medications, pregnant, have allergies, sun sensitivity, or another sensivity then it is wise to avoid or reduce fragrances of any kind on your body, and especially avoid altogether on children's skin. With this in mind, we decided to formulate all of our soaps and solid moisturizers to be #frangrancefree so that they could be safe to use by everyone. 09.01.2022 Shaving our Beautifully Authentic Multipurpose Home Cleaning Bar to clean the floors. I find this is the most effective floor cleaner that I've used as it's streak free, tough on dirt and is obviously toxin free! I also use it on really greasy pots and pans, and cleaning down the craft table after the little ones have been "creative", and I use it to clean all my soap making equipment after a session. 05.01.2022 Holy smokes! Five loaves of soap! Yep, this is a first and quite an experience working with this amount of ingredients! What a crazy ride! I have never made more than 2 loaves and knew this would be a challenge, but what a rush! I didn't expect to feel this much adrenaline sounds nuts hey!
