25.01.2022 An exciting role has become available with a established Organic almond and citrus business located in the Nangiloc/Colignan area. Reporting directly to the farm manager, the purpose of this position is to conduct day to day farming operations involving machinery work, irrigation and manual labour. An exciting role has become available for a knowledgeable, reliable and enthusiastic person to join Manna Farms to look after the day to day running of its citrus packing shed. The successful applicant would report to the Packing Shed Manager and be responsible for about 8 other staff working in the packing shed. Job Location: Manna Farms Packing Shed, Colignan VIC. Date of Employment: August 2020. Required Skills, Competencies & Licenses: Suitable candidates will need to demonstrate; Good teamwork & communication skills Good organisational, time management skills and attention to detail Good mechanical & problem solving skills for troubleshooting & repairs Good computer and packing software skills Ability to take direction and follow procedures Honesty and integrity A strong general knowledge of citrus & avocado packing and grades Prior experience in a citrus packing shed required Forklift Licence required Prior knowledge of Compac sorting equipment including Sizer and Invision/Spectrum (preferred) Prior knowledge of EDP GIRO packaging equipment including UB60/UB65 and CA9/CA10 (preferred) Remuneration: An attractive remuneration package will be negotiated with the successful applicant based on their level of skills and experience. Brilliant business supporting Organic farmers in maximising the use of their product which would otherwise be thrown out as food waste. Well done to Adrian Cester and his team. Do yourself a favour and pick some of these up from any Woolworths supermarket.
