21.01.2022 People think I run a business and well yeah.. I sort of do. The thing is I didn’t come into this field for it to be a business. I found myself following a love for art ~ something I have loved and excelled in since I was in high school all those 15 years ago! (And actually the only thing I ever excelled in ) I don’t book in as many weddings as possible because I don’t care much about the money.. yes, true it pays the bills but I do it to work with women like this gal righ...t here on weekends that create memories. My bridal babe Madison came out of covid celebrating her love for her now husband with a very intimate and personal elopement at #emeraldcreekfalls and to be totally transparent.. it was the greatest way to come out of a really full on few months tucked away and I’m grateful she asked me to be a part of it last Saturday. Originally planned a big wedding and when plans changed.. they just rolled with it! We spent a couple of fun hours laughing & chatting away while I did Madison’s hair + makeup and then they drove up to the tablelands to have their moment captured by @therawphoto behind the lense + @hudson.films behind the film. They wandered rocks together, said their I do’s with beautiful celebrant Tammy @creatingmoments_celebrant . They celebrated their endless high school love just the two of them and it looked magical.

14.01.2022 Well damn! COVID-19 creativeness! What a way to spend a Sunday. When Ange & Liana from Sonlia Fashion contacted me in regards to doing hair + makeup for this shoot I didn’t even allow my brain time to register it was just YES. For me, I never started my business for the money.. from day one it was the passion. It was being able to use a face as a canvas and express myself through makeup + hair. ... In 2019 I worked with these girls for an amazing Spotlight add and I knew I’d want to be one of their first go-to-gals from then on. Not only are they super creative in their love for art + design but they’re possibly two of the kindest, funnest women I’ve ever had the pleasure in working with in my career. From here we decided to rope a few more amazingly talented & creative people in for a huge day and it turned out THIS. GOOD. 02.01.2022 2021 I have come to the decision to officially close all NEW bookings for 2021 *All existing bookings for 2021 remain booked in. ... As we all know, the pandemic went and royally effed a lot of shit up for the brides in 2020, with many having to post-pone their wedding for 2021. As the butterfly effect generally works, all brides planning their big day for 2021 now had their shit effed up too due to an unprecedented influx of brides from 2020 who had their entire wedding journey turned upside down, forcing them to reek havoc on the wedding industry we know (It’s okay though. Us vendors got your back!). Imagine a busy wedding season... now add on another years worth of weddings and cram it all into one... Now, aside from the occasional anxiety attack, heart complication or seizure, the added stress of how I’ll actually pay for the roof over our heads due to my business (like so many others) suffering greatly through covid back at the start of it all.. I had to re-evaluate life itself and went and got an amazing full time job working at Cairns Hospital. This meant working 6 & 7 day weeks over the past four months. My health decided to take a plunge and so, I have new personal work hours with Events Makeup + Hair and have recently reached my MAX capacity for bookings and availability in 2021. I have allocated one weekend day each month in the 2021 wedding season from March-August for BRIDAL TRIALS ONLY. SIX action-packed, glowed-up & fast-paced days full of beautiful faces & heads of hair. If I have your wedding Makeup, Hair or Makeup + Hair booked in for 2021 I urge you to book in a trial with me on one of my available times (if you haven’t already). Trials are important for so many reasons and I don’t want any of my brides to miss out ~Deposits essential to book in. ~Trial Location - my home studio in Cairns. ~Trials are not available on any other dates than those specified. ~To book in message my Facebook page with your preferred date + time.
