19.01.2022 Hi my beautiful clients, I’ve found that my business could go one of two ways from this point. Either I close my books or continue to grow by hiring another therapist. It has taken me quite the search to find someone who I trust will treat, nurture and care for my clientele the same way I do. I am certain with my decision of hiring Samantha and I am sure that she will add to my business with the same love and care I have for it. This is Sam’s mini biography: Hi my name is S...amantha, For the last 26 years I have had the absolute pleasure of being a beauty therapist. For 11 of those years I have had my own salon in Brisbane in three different locations. About 6 years ago I decided to close my salon as I needed a sea change. This was about at the same time Amela opened BEBA. I had never met Amela but our daughters went to school together and a mutual client recommended her to me so that I could pass my clients over to her. I was pleased to hear how my clients loved her and that we share similar ways! I was thrilled when a few weeks ago, Amela contacted me offering a position at BEBA. I couldn’t resist the thought of continuing my beauty career in Brisbane. I am excited to be working with someone who has different specialities to me as I love to learn. My passions lie in facials, massages, waxing, pedicures, skincare and everything beauty. I love how I can create a solution based treatment that suits the clients needs, but I also get to nurture them. I am creative and artistic and this has been the perfect career to express myself. I love that transformation happens in every treatment whether it be feeling beautiful on the inside or out. I’m excited to be working with Amela and getting to meet her beautiful clientele as well as being able to reconnect with some of my previous clientele.

16.01.2022 Thought it was worth sharing... While talking to Melisa about being sun smart and her wanting to get a tan- she made a comment: What even is the beauty standard in today’s society? It’s to be anything but yourself. If you’re not white you try to be white, but if you’re white you try to be tanned / dark. If you have straight hair, curl it, but if you have curly hair, straighten it. If you’re bigger, get skinny but if you’re skinny eat something. Beauty today is just to be an...ything but yourself! Why can’t we all just embrace our natural beauty Although I agree with everything Mel said, it made me think how true her words were and yet here I am with my spraytanned self and straightened hair (from two days ago) off to gold coast for my well deserved two days off so I guess every now and then we just have to embrace our inner need to be ‘a little bit different’ I hope you all enjoy this weekend as much I’m gonna enjoy mine and embrace your natural beauty- at least just while I’m gone and then come for a spraytan Lots of love Amela and Mel
