09.01.2022 EXFOLIATION A question I get asked alot is about exfoliating, WHY, WHEN, HOW. You only need to exfoliate once to twice a week. Exfoliating is done after you do your double cleansing. Best done in the evenings so you get the most out of your night serums these serums are usually more active and when we sleep our skin does all it's repairing and rejuvenating. Exfoliating removes dead skin, increases skin cell turn over, stimulates blood flow and helps product penetration. I... highly recommend an exfoliant that has eco friendly and spherically round micro beads. You want the beads to roll over the skin. Also look for an exfoliant with an AHA, gycolic or Lactic (depending on your skin type and prescription from your therapist). My tip is less scrubbing and leave your exfoliant on like a mask for a few minutes. (You can do this in the shower) this will give you the most benefits out of your exfoliant. When scrubbing use gentle circular motions. Love your skin there is no need to over scub, and over exfoliate you could be doing more damage than good.
