01.01.2022 Alright ladies & gents, let’s talk about applying foundation. I’m sure everyone has their days where sometimes they look absolutely flawless but then sometimes their foundation may look too cakey or there’s creases and crevices of dry skin. My recommendation is that after cleansing with a gentle face wash of your choice, remember to MASSAGE a lightweight moisturiser over your face or any serums that you may use as part of your skincare..., then wait about 10-15 minutes for everything to sink in before applying the next step! I could write an essay on how difficult it is to find your perfect foundation shade but it’s just all about trial & error! You want to make sure you have the correct COVERAGE (depending on what look you’re going for: natural v glam) & the correct SHADE. How you apply your foundation is completely up to you but what I’ve noticed when working on my clients is that for a seamless foundation look, I first use my fingers and place the product on their face and slowly press it into their skin. The warmth of your fingers actually activates the ingredients into your pores, which gives a natural finish. For more of a full coverage look, I then would use a beauty blender and go for a second round! You don’t need to set your whole face with powder to make your foundation last. Apply powder to the areas that tend to just get shiny and oily (generally the T-zone). If you’ve applied a bit too much and it starts to get a big chalky, just use a face mist or fixing spray to get a natural finish! There’s your base done! See more
