But they can irritate ... Here are some ways to help prevent skin problems as a result of wearing face masks : Your mask must not be too tight so that it causes skin indentation nor too loose that it causes friction. Cotton is best. Cloth masks must be washed in hot water after every use. Cleanse, then moisturise every morning and night. Apply moisturiser before and after wearing masks for long periods. Protect your with Lip Conditioner. Try to avoid make up under the mask. Try take a 15 minute break from wearing a mask every 4 hours.
