23.01.2022 One of my regular clients has given me permission to share these photos of a horrific experience she had with going to a NSS a few years ago. This is one of the many risks in going to a NSS. What is NSS? ... Non Standard Salon - any salons in shopping centres, or run as production line nail bars essentially! These salons are DANGEROUS and I cannot stress this enough, they are NOT qualified nail technicians. They use cheap, imported products that contain Methyl Methacrylate (MMA) Along with it being substantially cheap, it also sets harder and stronger which may seem great! But youre wrong Exposure to products containing MMA can cause: irritation redness and swelling skin sensitivity respiratory problems fungal or bacterial infections discolouration of the Nails (yellowing) nail damage or deformities Nails may seem like such a simple service right? What could possibly go wrong?! Well... ALOT can go wrong. Do your research, look into the salon you intend to get your nails done at! Make sure they are fully qualified! A cheap set of walk in nails may seem like a great idea at the time, but is it honesty worth the risk when you can pay a few extra dollars and see a PROPERLY trained nails technician that is fully equipped to hygiene practices & uses salon standard products? - Beauty With Abbie Jade

So when you choose your service to what you wish to book for, it will automatically go to the day that I have times available for the service you are wishing to book for! ... So please make sure you pay attention to the sections I have circled on the photo below when booking online as that will tell you what month you’re booking, and also the day, date and how many days away until that appointment! Please take notice of those two sections to avoid confusion of when your appointment is booked for! If you’re booking a larger appointment please note that it will more than likely 2-4 weeks ahead as I book quickly. I hope this helps any confusion that people may be having! - Abbie

18.01.2022 **PLEASE TAKE A MOMENT TO READ ** Lets discuss MMA MMA stands for methyl methacrylate bit of a mouth full right !!! ... MMA can be found in NSS salons (non standard salon) normally found along the high street - walk in appointments very quick rushed service Nails thinned drastically with an electric file which has also given this tool a bad reputation. The use of MMA monomer in artificial nail products has been an ongoing issue for more than 25 years. Why is this product so widely still used? Simple cost products containing MMA monomer sell for up to 75% less than the PROFESSIONAL products that dont contain this. MMA monomers are used by doctors around the world and is considered the best and most widely used bone CEMENT in the world !!! Which means it is implemented into the body to mend badly broken bones this being my number one reason to avoid any salon that uses this here are more reasons if you are still not convinced. MMA monomer products do not adhere well to the natural nail unless the nail plate is aggressively filed. This thins and weakens the clients natural nail plate setting clients up for future problems as the saying goes you cant build a strong house on a weak foundation. MMA nails are extremely difficult to remove the product is highly impervious to acetone and other removing solvents. MMA nails are extremely rigid and very difficult to break. When they are accidentally jammed or caught the overly thinned natural nail plate often breaks before the enhancement this can lead to serious cracks and damage that could lead to infection. Credit to Doug Schoon for sharing his research on this topic, we really would be lost without him in the nail world

11.01.2022 Hi all! I would just like to let everyone know that I will be getting strict on my business hours. The past few months I have been working WELL out of my business hours and its most definitely effecting my mental and physical health. ... Yes I do after 5pm appointments but its gotten to the point of me working until nearly 8pm 4-5 days a week. This is not something I can continue. The LATEST appointment I will do is 5:30pm which means I get out at a reasonable time of night. And PLEASE if you are able to come during the day rather than after 5pm please let me know as this makes my life so much easier! even though I am NOT taking on anymore after 5pm clients. Unfortunately I am only one person, I can only physically do so many clients in one day. I cant over work myself. I do have a life, home and friends outside of work and its gotten to the point where those aspects of my life are being neglected because of me working well beyond the hours I should be. I try my absolute best to accommodate to everyone and there available times and needs. BUT I can only do so much.. so if my times that I have available dont work Im really sorry but thats all I have and you may need to seek elsewhere. MONDAYS - strictly CLOSED. TUESDAYS - 9:30am-7pm.
