19.01.2022 Merry Christmas

12.01.2022 6 months post C -section check up. My body is completely twisted, hips out of alignment and my neck is very tight. Not surprising when carrying twins all day long lol I asked my physio when does she thinks my abs will be fully recovered and my little belly will go away, the answered was you will probably always have that, remembered your entire body went through a huge change by having twins, I'm not going to lie I felt pretty down. Learning to love a new body isn't easy, ...and yes most of you may think I'm crazy for "complaining" but I was hopping to wear my dresses and swimmers again without feeling uncomfortable . Any other mama out there feeling the same?! PS: Photo with my two angels who did not stop crying unless picked up my mama

03.01.2022 My Monday went from having a normal day to having to going to the hospital with Celine. She was having episodes of shortness of breath which was scary to watch and we felt it was concerning enough that we decided to call an ambulance. I texted my husband whilst I was on the phone to the ambulance and he took a taxi home right away. It was a random co-incidence that I had just completed the kids and baby Little Aid first aid workshop with @rescueblue_littleaid for parents the ...day before this happened. The course prepared me and helped me know exactly what to do while we were waiting for the ambulance to arrive, keeping me calm and able to manage the situation. As a fitness instructor I complete first-aid courses annually to keep my accreditation up to date but having such a targeted course focused on kids and babies really was invaluable for me in this moment. I hope I never have to be in a situation like this again but having done the course I feel confident and prepared to do everything I can in the important first response moments. I would like to thank @rescueblue_littleaid for giving us all the tools I needed to be ready and prepared for this completely unexpected event. Thankfully Celine was taken to the hospital and the breathing issues had passed and after a few hours she was cleared to come home I can't recommend highly enough spending the time to get yourself educated and have the crucial skills to handle the first response in an emergency.

03.01.2022 We all get stuck on how to get back on track after holidays. In my personal experience it's not that hard to get back on track after a couple of days or a couple of weeks but what happens when is postpartum, is it's not just a a couple of week, it's more like a year or more! I personally had a great exercise routine and I had a pretty balanced and healthy diet before I got pregnant. Now I'm in this position where I want to start getting back into my routine of "normal eating..." - you know more veggies and less cookies type of thing . I mean we have all been there and enjoyed the period when you can eat whatever you want. When you are pregnant or breastfeeding, or just the fact that you have a newborn, kind of gives you the perfect excuse to indulge on delicious high carb and fatty foods. Hear me now for a moment, this is from someone who just finished eating it all ( remember I was growing two babies!) - Write down your WHY. Why do you want to eat healthy again or why do you want to have an exercise routine? Writing down your why's will help you to remember why you started, especially when times gets tough. - Make it simple! We want to progress and feel better but it doesn't have to be by making huge changes all at once. What I mean is it doesn't have to be overwhelming. Try doing things step by step, eg: Instead of changing your entire day of food, try just making small adjustments, replace one cookie for yoghurt or a piece of fruit. - Ask a friend to keep you accountable or even better hire a coach, like me . There is nothing better than having someone to keep you accountable! We all need a sidekick by our side supporting us along the way. It's not that hard to get you started all you need to do is take the first step and decide it's time to take action! PS: The beautiful model in the picture is Celine
