22.01.2022 Saturday morning yoga at beautiful Town Beach in sunny Broome Next stop: Derby

17.01.2022 I’ve recently deleted Instagram, so I’ll be posting here now New online vinyasa class coming for you The Swan Effect I’m really excited to share this class with you, which focuses on the yoga philosophy of the three ‘Gunas’.... + we move through a challenging sequence with Navasana (boat pose) & Parsva Bakasana (side crow) to tap in to the state of Rajas (high-energy). In-between the challenging Asanas (poses), we enjoy moments of Tamas (stillness, quiet, low energy). We finish up with Sattva (pure bliss) in a short savasana.

10.01.2022 A very soft & gentle, 20minute restorative online class A really nice way to wind down after your busy day This class focuses on the sixth limb of yoga, which is Dharana (Concentrated focus). To help keep your focus & still your mind, we use the practice of trataka (candle gazing)... Send me a message to join Or contact Anna Swan from The Swan Effect

04.01.2022 A brilliant short film featuring The Zen & Pipe Master Gerry Lopez, as he eloquently explains the simultaneous connection and similarities between yoga & surfing. This is the same connection I continue to explore but don’t yet fully understand. And that’s why both surfing and yoga are life long practices. Maybe what yoga & surfing are trying to do is tap into exactly the same energy... The ‘Prana’ or the ‘Mana’. The Hawaiians were doing it through surfing and the Yogis were doing it by breathing. And one of my purposes is trying to understand that yoga & surfing are really kinda the same. - Gerry Lopez
