25.01.2022 *THE BEGINNING* This was the beginning of my second painting. It feels like forever ago. I am so grateful for the past year and a bit- Oh I am lucky!! ... 20.01.2022 Moments of growth. This year I have set lots of personal and professional challenges for myself. I have succeeded at some, failed at others, but grown enormously along the way. In August, I started the @ladystartups, as daunting as it was, to consolidate and grow my understanding around my little business. I loved every bit of it and learned so much. ... I also decided to join an art class with @delew_designs Weird. I know. An artist learning art. I've also loved every bit of it. Learning new techniques, meeting new people and having time for myself, doing what I love, where I can challenge the things I know and do everyday. This picture was painted there. It was painted using only my fingers. It is a reminder for me of where I have come and where I am yet to go. Sunflowers are special to me and this painting reminds me to always be me, and to keep on learning, growing and being unapologetically myself.

14.01.2022 FOUR FROM THE FOUR With so many new and fabulous followers, I thought it was time for another four from me- four fast facts to help you get to know the face and person behind the art. I am still learning. I have a whole heap of projects on the go that I don't share. I challenge myself with new styles, techniques and pieces everyday. Lately it is oil, water colour, alcohol ink and collage. It's important to push what you know, it keeps you from going stale.... I am the middle child of three girls. (Yes, donned with the dreaded 'middle child syndrome'). I am lucky because I have two beautiful souls as sisters and best friends for life. I am not so worried about mess and disorganisation. Most who know me, know me as one of the most organised people they have come across. This year, somewhere between four kids, a full time job, an art business and a household, I stopped worrying about having it all perfect. THIS is liberating- let me tell you! Still organised, just happier. The dishes can wait, and the cushions, they don't need to be perfect. I am a bush girl at heart. I am not a fan of sand, ocean, waves, creatures that lurk. Give me a river, some dirt and a tent and I am happy. Some of my favourite memories are by the river with nothing more than a campfire and the stars.
