The lump of coal that these barbarians were sniggering at is a fitting metaphor for our precious environment that they were trusted with. Richard Flanagan is right the barbarians weren't outside the gate but inside the building. You know the words of the Joni Collins song "we don't know what we've lost till it's gone". Indeed .
15.01.2022 Vandalism by governments and the Murray Darling Basin Authority. Trashing the environment for expediency and monetary gain hurts us all in the long run. Who wants to bathe their little children in that colour water? Who wants to drink that?

04.01.2022 Record breaking temperatures at both the high end and the low end in different seasons and different hemispheres may not seem to be related at first glance but read on...extreme weather events result from global warming. It's good to see that climate change is foremost in many people's concerns now and the sooner the denialist's message is muted the better. We have no time to waste.
