12.01.2022 Its Spring time , a time when every thing comes to life. The trees start to grow, flowers bloom, animals are growing there family and bugs are buzzing once again. The ground is still moist from winter which the Hens love as they go digging around for the new bounty of crawling protein and slithering earth worms which makes it a good time for them to pick up parasitic worms from nature. We've got a tip for there control that's easy and natural. Garlic, I love garlic but my wif...e doesn't and nether do the worms. If you were to prepare a water and garlic mix the night before of 5 cloves to 1L crushed and shaken this would be a good ratio, adjustable depending on the size of your flock as this much would be adequate for 4-6 hens. Then having made them thirsty by removing there sauce of water the night before, at around 10am you can give them the garlic drink for a couple of hour so they'll have a decent amount to drink and that will worm your flock. 12.01.2022 If you've never experianced owning ISA Brown Hens give it a go they are great laying hens but are also super relaxed and friendly chooks, great for the family and especialy the kids.
