25.01.2022 As I promised in my last video, here is an artwork using Derwent Inktense Pencils, for "Inktober!" I decided on this lionfish and had a lot of fun creating it, and colouring the background! Inktense pencils certainly live up to their name; they're so vibrant! When adding water, the pencil turns to a permanent ink.....magic. And here's my video making this: https://youtu.be/tiIiucolLqA

21.01.2022 A couple of small paintings in my sketchbook, with two Japanese watercolour sets that I got for my birthday. One set is mostly pastels, and the other is different shades of black, so they worked really well together to give a huge contrast between light and dark. 18.01.2022 Happy October! Here is my coloured pencil piece for this month's challenge by Colored Pencil Magazine. And here is the video making it: https://youtu.be/sp473Wa-53U I was originally intending to use Derwent Inktense pencils, but with such a muted colour palette I ended up going with Derwent Lightfast and Caran d'Ache Luminance pencils instead. I'm not doing Inktober this year due to being unable to commit to a drawing a day, but I will be releasing an Inktense artwork in my next video!

14.01.2022 In today's video I drew a sea turtle with cheap art supplies that I bought from The Reject Shop. They turned out to be a total nightmare because of how shoddy some of the things ended up being, and it was definitely a lesson in "You get what you pay for"! 11.01.2022 Fun with alcohol inks on Yupo paper....I felt like doing some abstract art, and throwing colours around. I love alcohol inks, they're so vibrant and lovely, but they do smell strongly of ethanol so one needs to be a little careful with them and not use them in an unventilated area, or near fire! https://youtu.be/q0aNQhDKlhg
