Sometimes it is hard to admit this to yourself, but in recognising you can begin to work through it and begin allowing yourself the opportunity to perform your best consistently.... You can be experiencing unconscious thoughts that are limiting you without even realising. Certain thoughts lower your confidence, which will impact how you perform. 01.01.2022 How do you feel about change? Do you give it a positive perspective or a negative one? You can be afraid of change because you are so familiar with how things are, you just don’t want them to change. Not many people enjoy the unknown, not being able to predict an outcome. But when you do know your situation you feel that you have more control.... You may feel that you have more control, but really life is unpredictable. You constantly experience change in your life, in your familiar situations, and you constantly adjust to it without noticing. How often have you stayed in the same situation because change seemed too scary, even if it’s a situation that you know wasn't benefiting you? Have you seen someone struggle in life because they didn’t feel a change was possible for them to take on? Maybe you’ve experienced it in your own life before... So, how can you shift your perspective on change? Instead of focusing on what you’re ‘losing’ or ‘giving up’, discover what you can gain and what opportunities it allows. When you make a change, often it isn’t just one door that opens but many, IF you’re open to seeing them. Change can allow you to move forwards in life. Change creates momentum. Do you really want to live life feeling as though you're stuck in a rut, in the same situations? Or, even if it scares you, would you like the opportunity for things to be different? I recognised a process I would go through when it came to change. First, negative... what am I losing? Then, optimistic... how can this work for me?
