Project Number 2 : CAMDEN SURGICAL HOSPITAL With a brief to establish a new exemplar in innovative heath care, the scheme proposes contemporary architectural forms responsive to the physical attributes of the site namely views, sunlight and falls. Internally, the building is intended to be a healing, non-institutional and easily navigable space. Construction is underway with an intention to commence operations in 2020.... 13.01.2022 Curl Curl North Public School OOSH Childcare The school is undergoing a major transformation by NSW School Infrastructure and Become.architecture have been applying our extensive Childcare knowledge to assist OOSH with Architectural Services to ensure its smooth operation within a staged construction site.

11.01.2022 Become are delighted to be working with Mainbrace Constructions for the detailed design and documentation of a concept design by Villa + Villa for a significant upgrade to ISPTs Richmond Marketplace shopping centre.

11.01.2022 At Become, we utilise BIM to coordinate with other consultants for all of our projects. Via our use of Revit, we 3D model all the design aspects of the building enabling excellent client communication (often via our VR goggles) and to ensure that the architecture works with the design work by other disciplines. This way, we can identify and solve potential issues on the drawing board, rather than on site. For the Camden Surgical Hospital project, Become is working closely with Wood & Grieve Engineers to provide full 3D documentation & coordination. The level of detail is such that we are able to overlay the individual elements of structure, hydraulics, mechanical and electrical systems with the architecture. This includes floor slabs, pipework, air ducts and electrical fittings, minimising surprises on site.

Celebrating a new R4 High Density Residential zoning, Become. were engaged to design a new residential precinct comprising 302 apartments with extensive private, communal and public landscaping. The DA approved scheme also incorporates a freestanding 100 place childcare centre as part of the community focussed masterplan. 06.01.2022 Become. 5 Years | 5 Projects. Project Number 4 : WINDERMERE AGED CARE, SUMMER HILL Our first completed Aged Care project opened in 2017. The project involved the complete transformation of a privately owned home whilst remaining partially occupied and operational during construction works. The design refocussed accommodation around central, sun-filled, living, dining and outdoor spaces over two levels whilst accommodating an additional 17 beds.... 02.01.2022 Become Architecture worked on a lot of projects this year, but the greatest moment by far, was hearing that when this 19 room Boarding House in Kingswood that we worked on was finished and 4 women who were victims of domestic abuse were moving in the following week, helping them escape their personal hell. These are the projects we want to be a part of Make a difference. Make a change in the world ... These types of projects are the legacy that Become. wants to leave behind for future generations
