We received some great feedback and we were proud to show off some of the local wares, makers & artists. But this is just the start and we need your input!!! 15.01.2022 Come along to our pop-up, this week only & open daily 3pm-7pm until Sunday! 553 Barkly St, West Footscray. Some of our goodies? Macramé by Macrababy, clothing and jewellery by Rita's Closet Studio as well as work by a number of local artists and others! All handmade and homemade locally with love. Supported by Maribyrnong Boomerang Bags who are not only providing some of their bags, but will be having a sewing bee & demonstration in store on Saturday.... Furniture supplied by Good Day Rentals, who transformed the space from the empty shell it was fantastically into what it is now! Pop on in before it’s all gone (or we are)!

14.01.2022 West Footscray's first pop-up is opening this week! Do you have ideas to activate Barkly Street shopping strip? Are empty shops on Barkly Street an issue for you? ... A number of local businesses set up the West Footscray Traders Association to enhance the community and embrace the West Footscray spirit into their trading. We are utilising one of the vacant properties for one week to engage with the community and unleash the potential of Barkly Street. Featuring local makers Rita's Closet & Macrababy, as well as local artists Alice Lamont, Mara Braun, Amanda Neville and Katelynn Partanen. Doors open Monday, 22 October, 3pm for one week only. 553B Barkly Street, West Footscray. Come along to our community event hosted by Thriving Places at 4pm on Wednesday the 28th to discuss, explore ideas & offer your suggestions on improving the strip. Keep an eye out for additional events held throughout the week. Don’t miss out!

Monday 22nd and running till the 28th, showing some of the fabulous artisans and artists in our area. Hope you can all come along and support them as they sell their wares and we reinvigorate the Barkly St shopping strip! Jewellery, vintage clothing, macrame, candles, artworks, clothing and baby bibs for sale, all while we encourage new businesses into the area! #wefo #wefolk

11.01.2022 Rita's Closet Studio has a lovely rack of clothes for sale on the pop up this week. The first thing we sold on Monday? A vintage silk kimono jacket from this rack for $20. Bargain! 05.01.2022 Today is the LAST DAY of our hugely successful Pop up Shop @ 553 Barkly St. On from 11 till 7pm. The racks and stalls have been restocked and we've sold several annexing artworks so get in today to check it out. Then go onto the Diwali lights festival at Whitten Oval! This weekend are the last two days that our pop-up shop is open, with extended hours 11am-7pm Saturday & Sunday.
