16.01.2022 First things first, it's NORMAL to be hungrier right before your period. This is because oestrogen (and therefore serotonin) start to decline in preparation for your bleed. These 2 hormones are natural appetite suppressants! ... voila, more food cravings. Be gentle with yourself though, as progesterone, our lovely luteal hormone gently increases your metabolic rate Tips to avoid over-indulgence in this premenstrual phase: Prep your snacks - carrots, celery, nut but...ter, hummus, boiled eggs, seeded crackers, avocado, berries Aim to fast overnight for at least 12 hours (the earlier you stop eating at night the better, as this is better for sleep & it's nice to wake up feeling hungry) Don't be scared of healthy carbohydrates! If you restrict yourself, you'll only end up bingeing later. Include brown rice, quinoa, sweet potato, buckwheat, barley and teff for long-lasting energy and fibre. Most of all, focus on gentle exercise & getting to bed nice and early during this time. Sleep stabilises your blood sugar, leading to less cravings & more stable emotions. Win win Georgia x See more

What a year it has been. 2020 for me has been full to the brim with personal growth, business ups and downs, getting clear on what keeps me motivated, and nailing those grounding habits in day to day life. Yoga with @adrienelouise has been paramount . I've also become a mama to 3 chickens! And I'm kicking the 12 year old in me who HATED swimming up the bum & finally learning to lap swim (in the ocean of all places). It has been my wonderful clients who have continu...ed to inspire me all year & remind me of why I do the work that I do. @megan_thatblondechick I'm looking at you!
