25.01.2022 Wow! This would be a beautiful way to work on fine motor skills and scissor skills with an awesome pretend play toy in the end! https://woodlarkblog.com/diy-flower-butterfly-wings

25.01.2022 Let them play. Let them take ownership.

24.01.2022 Wishing all our friends and family a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! We are now closed for Christmas break from the 23rd December - 6th January.

23.01.2022 "Now, some may argue I should simply add what my son should stop doing and the problem is solved. But doing this has inherent issues. You see, when I say, ...Stop bugging your sister, I am requiring my son to double-process. Meaning, he must process what I have told him not to do and deduce what he should do instead. In contrast, positive language is far more effectual because it tells children how to cooperate." https://parentingfromtheheartblog.com/negative-language-im/

22.01.2022 This happens every year! This 100x over!! I spend so much time getting rid of stuff all year long! Between Christmas, end of the year birthdays and so many peo...ple that LOVE my kiddos.. they get way too much stuff! They absolutely enjoy going places and doing things!! Spend time with them! We're trying to teach them the value of non-material things!! We need your help! - Child wants toy for Christmas and talks about it all the time. - Child opens toy for Christmas and loves it for a day - 3 days later the child is asking for new game for their Xbox, iPad, etc. You suggest they go play with that great new toy they wanted so bad. They say they don't feel like it. - 1 week later, toy is shoved in the back of their closet, never to be seen again. UNTIL you do a pre-Christmas clean out the following year when said toy is then donated because the child expresses that they no longer like it. This year, we are making a Christmas list filled with EXPERIENCES, not toys! Want to know what Aunt Becky can get them? A movie date with them on a weekend, a trip to the zoo, a painting class, something where they can spend time together! Live far away? You could give them vouchers to help pay for sports the following season, gift certificate for child yoga, season passes or day passes to a local amusement park, a favorite book of yours with a personalized note of why you love it and them! The EXPERIENCES and MEMORIES that your child will remember forever!

15.01.2022 Nature Ornaments DIY Christmas ornaments are a special part of our family holiday traditions. These ornaments are so easy to make and are absolutely beautiful...! Hang them from your tree and they make pretty sun catchers during the day and look so pretty with Christmas tree lights shinning through them at night.
