23.01.2022 What a beautiful weekend away for Chloes hens . Would highly recommend any hens or girls weekend down south to be organised by @theholistichen made planning so easy literally just booked, rocked up and everything was planned . We did a wine and cheese tasting, Champagne yoga and a half day wine tour so lots of wine was consumed as well as lots of fun had!!... . Sometimes (most of the time) making memories are more important than how healthy you ate for a couple of days!! So good to just be in the moment and enjoy the weekend away . 20.01.2022 Why women should lift weights . Firstly... weights will not make you 'bulky' , too much maccas or food everyday will make you bulky but not weight training! (Under most circumstances.. before I get slammed ) . Now here are some of the reasons why women should lift weights!... . Build lean muscle mass - To build muscle you have to train it close to failure. There is only so much muscle you can build doing body weight without having to do 100's of reps in the future. Lifting weights is necessary and one of the best ways to build and maintan muscle You will feel (and get) strong AF. Nothing is more bad ass than being able to smash out pullups for reps or squat and deadlift your bodyweight plus some! And I mean, being able to get a lid off a jar without a man is pretty empowering Strong bones and joints - weight bearing exercises are needed to build and maintain bone mass and strong joints - this will help with reducing chance of injury doing your everyday activities and is very important as we age! You will also feel more confident, improve your mood, and get shape you just can't get with only cardio! . . Those are just some of the reasons women (and men) should incorporate weight training and not just cardio! . Let me know your thoughts in the comments! 20.01.2022 Current body update!! *disclaimer* I am no fitness model I can't pose for shit but #reality . My body has changed so much over the last year or 2.. I have been the leanest I have been (with muscle not skinny cardio like school days ) I have been a little squishier around holiday times, and now I have lost quite a bit of muscle... but I am enjoying life and not being so serious with my tracking and and training at the moment and I am loving it! . This just shows as long as... you don't blow out every single weekend, you can have a few drinks and a meal or 2 out and its not the end of the world! At the start if you have specific weight loss or muscle gain goals you have to be a bit stricter but once you do that its not forever! You can loosen up a bit and go through stages of training and nutrition changing. Make nutrition and training apart of your lifestyle but not your whole life!! . Your goals will change depending on whats happening in your life.. be open to changes and just do what you can . Happy and motivated to get into this week!! 18.01.2022 Did my rep testing 4 weeks into my 12 week program! And for those following along at home here are my 1RMs after the first 4 weeks! . Seated Military Press - 24kg 32kg Back Squat - 54kg 63kg Deadlift - 65kg 73kg... . First 4 weeks were getting me back to where I was!! Now to completely smash the next 8 weeks!! My nutrition has not been on point, I haven't been eating anywhere near enough or quality food... but it is what it is and now its time to get back to tracking and be the best version of myself . 08.01.2022 This is your reminder you don't always have to go super heavy! . Yesterday I did my heavy squats and my body was struggling.. I decided instead of not finishing the rest of my session I would swap a few of the exercises out for some light band work but higher reps. . I didn't video them all but here is a couple of exercises - I also did banded squats and donkey kicks as well as some split squats and hamstring curls!... . Sometimes you just need to scale the workout back a bit rather then just not doing it at all! . Whats your favourite banded exercises!? See more

05.01.2022 Hannah getting her workout done at 515am before work . We have dropped the weight a little to take into account the tempo change and pause at the top of the rep making the exercise harder! . Weights don't make women 'bulky' I love empowering women to lift weights and feel their strongest! There is nothing like seeing someone barely be able to do a pushup sometimes even on the wall to smashing out reps on their toes! Or not being able to do a pullup to getting out multiple ...reps and sets! . Time to get strong ladies!
