21.01.2022 || FLOOD INFORMATION UPDATE 1 || The College is OPEN for supervision tomorrow, Monday 22 March. The safety of all members of our school community is our highest priority. We understand that some roads and bridges are flood-affected. Please do not travel through floodwaters. In the case of areas to the west of the Hawkesbury River, access to the College is not possible. ... Should you wish for your child to attend school, and it is safe to do so, then supervision will be provided. Current advice tells us to avoid non-essential travel. It is a reality that a number of staff may also be impacted by this weather event. Every student is able to access their learning via the Canvas Learning Platform. In light of these current circumstances, the Year 12 Retreat (for Monday) is postponed. We will keep you updated. This information has also been emailed to the College community. We will continue to monitor the situation. If further advice is provided to us via the SES and local authorities, we will communicate that via email, social media and SMS as necessary.

Students put their classroom learning into action, as they capture images of what learning looks like. Photographic billboards now adorn some feature walls around our school, giving a visual representation of different learning scenarios and spaces, using images taken by our own talented students! This short film gives an insight into this incredible opportunity and program.

Our students are required to learn about a product which is produced on a farm and in this case, the farmer Brenton Golding, produces fat lambs for the Australian meat market. Our students learnt about the physical and financial requirements of the farming enterprise, as well as having a hands-on practical experience administering a worming drench medication to 250 Merino ewes. We would like to thank Brenton for his generosity in hosting us for the day as the experience will certainly improve the HSC outcome for all of the students involved.

The Senior Squad this year was a team of 9 students so we thank each one of those students for contributing to a phenomenal season. Your care for and mentoring of the juniors has certainly paid dividends this year. We are so proud of each of our students. They have certainly proven that Bede kids can achieve anything.
