25.01.2022 Bookings are now open for our LAST puppy pre-school for the year! We usually don’t run a class in December with all the public holidays, but due to high demand we are breaking the rules! The last class for 2020 will be starting on Wednesday the 25th of November and run for 4 weeks (25th Nov, 2nd Dec, 9th Dec, 16th Dec) at 7:00pm ... 20.01.2022 Our next pet first aid course will be running this Sunday the 20th of September at 10am ONLY 4 SPOTS LEFT During the workshop you’ll learn how to:... - perform CPR (and learn the different techniques for tiny cats and Rottweilers) - dress a bleeding wound - apply a bandage that won’t slip - help your pet after a bee sting or a fight - understand different poisons $60 per person. If this is your cat please call Bedford-Dianella Vet Centre on 9275 9283.... ** EDIT ** Thank you to all the lovely people who have messaged offering donations for treatment. The kitten is currently being treated however at this time please only message our page if you are the owner or know who the owner is. Thank you! ** EDIT #2 ** After a second opinion from an orthopaedic specialist, a treatment plan for the kitten we have nicknamed Snapple has been started and he is currently with a foster carer receiving treatment. Once Snapple is better we will likely look for a new home for him if his owner doesn’t come forward, but for now he is on the road to recovery. 17.01.2022 LUMPS Lumps on the skin are very common in cats and dogs. They can range from insect bites and stings, abscesses, haematomas, cysts, lipomas and unfortunately, cancers. A thorough veterinary exam as well as a FNA (fine needle aspirate - inserting a needle into the lump and sucking out cells) to look at the cytology under a microscope will help determine what kind of lump it is and decide whether or not a removal of the lump is necessary. ... 16.01.2022 * UPDATE * adopted KITTEN ADOPTION Stewie (left) and Tommy (right) are two male kittens from two different litters. Stewie is about 12 weeks old and Tommy is about 9 weeks old. They were both handed in to us a few weeks ago after being found roaming the streets nearby. They love playing and cuddling together and although they may not be biological brothers they are definitely brothers at heart They are up to date with their vaccinations, flea and worming treatment and a...re a bonded pair so will need to be rehomed together. This week we have had several litters of new born kittens & pregnant cats arrive..., which is a sign that our busiest time of year has started - kitten season. Orphaned & neonatal kittens like Aranchini here are the most vulnerable felines we take in and so we’re asking for your help this summer. We have a few items on our wishlist we would loved to be donated, saving us precious funds needed to operate the shelter.
