23.01.2022 DOUBLE HAT-TRICK HERO! In the 4th Grade game between the Knights and Fremantle Mosman Park, Jordan Howell took the second ever double hat-trick for the club, the first since Dave Smith in 1999/2000! The feat also was a four-wicket maiden, as he finished off with outstanding figures of 7/25 off 13.2 overs. The individual feat was only made sweeter by scoring 52 with the bat and defeating the opposition in an outright victory, winning by an innings and 86 runs!... 16.01.2022 The clean up is done and cricket season is over. Quite prematurely. Never fear, we have an official announcement to make over the coming days and also a few additional posts to recognise some big achievements from throughout the season!

15.01.2022 The Healthy Sporting Club grant we received from Healthway has allowed to purchase the necessary equipment to create healthier meals at the club and to support rehydration on the field during matches. Secretary Phillip Meng and 1st XI captain Nick Farmer have been behind the push to developing a healthier club through the use of promotional materials and the creation of some incredibly tasty dishes served on selection nights.

14.01.2022 We kicked off the 2020/21 season last night with our Season Launch party, which included the presentation of last year’s trophy winners and the celebration of the 2019/20 2nd Grade Premiership.

13.01.2022 Yesterday’s results, with our top four sides winning their games, means that we will have three teams in the finals this season! 3rd and 6th Grade secure home finals by finish top of the ladder, with their semi finals to be played at The Castle and Waltham respectively. One Day 1’s win against Applecross in the battle of fourth vs fifth, secured them a finals spot, due to a remarkable string of results since the Christmas break!... 1st Grade had a great post-Christmas resurgence, only dropping one game and finished the season in sixth place. The One Day 3 (East) side narrowly missing out on finals finishing in fifth. As it stands, we finish in third place in the club championship, out of 22 clubs. A great way to end the home-and-away season, now let’s bring home a few flags to top it all off!

07.01.2022 The Knights would like to congratulate former 1st XI and premiership-winning captain Nick Farmer on being selected to make his WACA First Grade debut tomorrow for Gosnells against South Perth at Richardson Park. The club is thrilled of this news. We are glad that Nick has made an excellent impression at his new club and shows the calibre of the player that we had playing in our midst all this time. We wish you all the best.

04.01.2022 The Knights have made it to the business end of the season with three sides playing their semi finals this weekend! 3rd Grade are at The Castle taking on Western Suburbs, whilst 6th Grade are playing Murdoch University Melville, in which will be the first ever finals game at Waltham Reserve. Both games start at 12:30pm. One Day 1s hope to continue their hot form, also taking on Murdoch University Melville at Tompkins Park from 12pm.... Let’s bring home three grand final spots come tomorrow evening!

04.01.2022 The Knights would like to congratulate Phillip "Mengy" Meng on playing his 150th game for the club in 6th Grade against Murdoch University Melville on the weekend. Mengy started at the club as a fresh-faced 19-year old in our 9th Grade side in 2010/11 as a leg spinner and a lower order batsman. Through the years, he has played 2nd and 3rd XI cricket and is known for unpredictability in his deliveries and his stubbornness when batting to support his team through difficult batt...ing conditions. Phil has three premierships under his belt during his time at the club. However, his contributions to the club extend far beyond his on-field performance. He was awarded Club Person of the Season and 2013/14 and has held the position of secretary since 2016/17. In that role, through his grant application skills, he was pivotal in securing funding for the development of the turf wicket at Waltham Reserve, securing more than $60,000 in grants from Federal, State and Local Governments as well as other community grants. Recently he has also worked with WASTCA in simplifying the process in creating the fixtures for the 2020/21 season. Mengy is an excellent servant to the club and we can't be anymore thankful for his contribution on and off the field.

04.01.2022 In the 3rd Grade match against Western Suburbs at Waltham Reserve, captain Travis Rawlins took his best ever figures of 6/43 off 18 overs. In pursuit of The Knight's total of 224, Western Suburbs had got off to a solid start in their opening partnership before Michael Park and Kade Smith making some breakthroughs. Travis then came on and decimated their middle and lower order, forcing the batsmen to make some rash shots with four of his wickets being caught. This led to a 51 run win and takes the 3rd Grade side to to second on the ladder.

01.01.2022 The Lawrence Group - Enhance Your Business Senior Twenty20 side took on a very fancied Wembley Districts outfit in the Quarter Finals of the WASTCA Div 1 Twenty20 competition. The Knights won the toss and elected to bat with Adrian Longwood (53 off 39) and Nick Farmer (56 off 43) putting on 104 for the first wickets. The chase for runs didn't come off as planned as we finished 9/145 off our allotted overs. After an initial flurry of runs from Wembley's batsmen, Nick 'Ranga' F...armer blew the game over with two incredible run outs which started an incredible procession of wickets. Wembley Districts were bowled out for 85 runs, with pick of the bowlers being Matthew Zelesco (2-9 off 3 overs), Aravinda Mahiepala (2-8 off 2.1 overs) and Chris Webber (2-11 off 4 overs). The Knights now progress to the semi-final on Sunday, February 23rd against either Balcatta, Applecross or Bassendean at a venue to be determined.

01.01.2022 In the One Day 1 match versus Swanbourne on Saturday, life-member and club legend Dave Smith celebrated playing his 300th for The Knights. Dave has played for the club since the amalgamation of the founding clubs, in which he has been an extremely formidable all-rounder. His ability to swing the ball and smash sixes out of the park and across highways (see Tompkins Park at Melville and The Padang in Singapore), have made opposition fear him. He holds the record for the most ...sixes in club history, has taken a double hat-trick and scored more than 5000 runs! Along with being a captain of many sides, he has also previously served as President and Vice-President. The Knights would like to congratulate Dave Smith for his incredible contribution to the club, both on and off the field.
