18.01.2022 BODY ISSUE : 1. DOOR LOCK ACTUATOR FAULTY - only can open the door from the inner handle. replacement cost approx $ 400 for new aftermarket or known good 2nd hand. 2. MMI PAD -WATER DAMAGE ALSO SOFTWARE CAN BE STUCK- PAD CAN BE REPLACED BY ITSELF, SOFTWARE CAN BE UPDATED. 3. AC DUAL-ZONE OFTEN HAS TEMP CONTROL ISSUE- only one side temp control is available or air distribution issue. 4. WATER LEAK - water can leak under carpet often when an aftermarket windowscreen is fitted. OR space near the crawl panel blocked with leaves. OR SUNROOF DRAIN BLOCKAGE (there are 4 drains and tubes that need to check )

17.01.2022 AUDI A4 B8 ENGINE, TRANS ENGINE OIL LEAK - common from upper cover seals, camshaft inner seals or lower timing case cover/ valve cover/vacuum pump - all these oil leaks are "matured repair jobs" can be done the same day with a few hundred dollars. CAMBRIDGE ISSUE- very common cause for all kinds of camshaft timing issue - it controls cam adjuster supply also head oil flow- this is very "matured repair " replacement is approx $ 350 ... OIL CONSUMPTION: OIL THROUGH PISTON RINGS, VALVE STEM SEAL ALSO PCV. if left not treated it will cause catalytic converter blockage. - this is a matured repair, which will require engine assembly removed and internal parts swap out with revised parts, cost is approx $ 3600. ( see our Facebook details) AIR LEAK - common leak from the rear main seal, Rh lower turbocharge hose, PCV valve internal leak. if the vehicle has front-end accidents, it may also leak from the intercooler. COOLANT LEAK - water pump leak is most common approx $ 790 to replace, also can be from heater hoses or the outlet at the back of cylinder head. INTAKE VALVE CARBON UP - very popular due to the direct injection system, the warning sign is engine idle rough only at cold start. SERVICE: OIL & FILTER REPLACEMENT EVERY 10.000KM/6MONTH SPARK PLUGS EVERY 60.000KM ENGINE WITH CODE: CJB- 3GEN ENGINE IS FREE OF ENGINE CONSUMPTION/AIR LEAK ISSUE YET COOLANT LEAK IS COMMON FROM WATER PUMP ALSO BY-PASS PIPE TO TURBO. S4 3.0 ENGINE IS COMMONLY USING ENGINE OIL, ALSO HAVING BAD CAMSHAFT SOLENOIDS TDI ENGINE: 2.0 LITER - high-pressure fuel pump, glow plug, EGR, EGR cooler is common, plus sagged engine mounts. 2.7/3.0 TDI: engine mounts, injector leaks, intake control flap broke at the link to control motor. + DPF issue ( commonly the result of leaking injectors or incorrect engine oil ) TRANSMISSION MANUAL TRANS IS GOOD YET THE FLYWHEEL IS DMF WHICH IS EXPENSIVE CVT, 7 speed DSG will need regular service to ensure a long lifespan. common issue and repair info will list in a separate report.

05.01.2022 Tech Tips @ Bedford motors for Volvo owners: if you have water splashing noise in the cabin or odd smell or wired electrical issue for your Volvo, then it is worth to check your windscreen for the leak. we have noticed that from early 2000 to current models the top of windscreen commonly leak due to faulty workflow in manufacture process- see attached photos- the glue didn't stick to glass. the leak could be very hard to notice due to water will follow A-pillar and get under the front carpet, filled the foam under your feet area, which seems harmless in short terms but will cause series rust/ mould issue later on.
