25.01.2022 Race day is this Sunday 27 October 2019! Entry forms are available at the Beechwood Hotel or download via the web site billycartclassic.com.au Market stalls and rides are open from 9am at the finish line at the Beechwood Hotel with racing from 11am. Plenty of activities for the whole family. Come and enjoy the 40th running of this great community event with all money raised benefiting the community!

24.01.2022 Its all on today! Kids rides are being set up. Market stalls are ready to go. Carts are rolling in. Just remember Beechwood road will be closed from 11am till 12.30pm from the hall to 5km up Pappinbarra mountain for the main race. Come now to get your vantage point.

The Beechwood community has people keen to participate in the Classic, Kids and Main Race Would you lend your cart for the day or even sell it? Everyone knows the more carts on the day the better for the event so contact us through this page so we can get those carts rolling and make the day a good one

23.01.2022 Well the 39th Annual Beechwood Billycart Classic has been run and won. And the winners are, in Pro Carts , in First place in a blistering time of 5.53 was What Tha , crew Paul & Josh. 2nd place went to The Devils Apprentice,time 6.00, crew Luke & Duane, And 3rd place went to Savish time 7.46, crew Huey & Dain. In the Open Carts , 1st place went to Uncut, time 8.21, Crew Nick & Rob. 2nd place was Road Runner , time 10.03 , crew Josh & Trent . And 3rd place was... Rosewood Rocket , time 10.20, crew Rod & Damian . Followed up by Grounds For Divorce, time 12.02 , crew Justin & Brad . And lucky last was Coyote time 16.19 , crew Matt & Alex . On behalf of myself and the rest of the Organising Committee l would like to thank all the Entrants for your time and effort that you all spent on your carts , They looked Amazing . 21.01.2022 Sharyn and Heather are at the Wauchope RSL Club selling tickets in the Beechwood Billycart Classic barro of cheer. Come on down tonight for the meat raffle and also support the classic. We will also be at the Wauchope Country Club tomorrow from 3pm with the barro.

20.01.2022 Vale Mark Kucera: It is with great regret that news has come through that Mark animal Kucera has passed away. Animal was known to many in the Beechwood community, he was a father, a husband, a great bloke, a true Aussie and a mate, he will be sadly missed. Our deepest sympathies go out to Cathy and family, RIP Mark.... Mark was the race caller from the back of the ute/van on race day that you all would have heard over the p.a. after he had competed many times himself. Thanks for all you have done for our great community.

Entry forms are available from the Beechwood Hotel or online at billycart classic.com.au and close on Friday 12 October for the fun filled day on Sunday 21 October. Please note that Beechwood road will be closed from Beechwood hall to 5km up Pappinbarra mountain from 11am till 12.30pm for the day.

Come and grab your vantage point for the race before Beechwood and Pappinbarra roads are closed at 11am for the homemade billycarts to come down the mountain. Market stalls, kids rides and community groups have all come together to make the day great. Come and help support the local community!

15.01.2022 The kids are really enjoying the day. The road is about to close to all traffic for the racing and reopening at 12.30pm. Come on out for the 40th Beechwood Billycart Classic!

15.01.2022 For all the budding poets and those that would like to hear some poetry, come to the Beechwood Recreational Sports grounds from 10am this Saturday 14 October. Sausage sandwiches are on offer for lunch and roast beef or pork rolls for dinner. Poets breakfast is the following morning at the Beechwood caf then come on over to the Beechwood Hotel for the Beechwood Billycart Classic, Market stalls and kids rides from 9am with races starting at 11am.

14.01.2022 This years event is fast approaching! Sunday 21 October the carts will be coming down Mt Pappinbarra at great speeds. Market stalls and kids rides will be open from 9am with the road being closed from 11am till 12.30pm for the carts. There will be live music and other events after the race. Come all for a fun day as we raise funds for the local community.

We are currently receiving entries in the kids and main race and is looking to be a great day for all!

07.01.2022 Hi all, just a reminder that the Beechwood Billycart Classic is on Sunday 23 October from 9 am till 4 pm. As part of the Classic the road will be closed to all traffic on Beechwood Road from the corner at the hall to 453 Pappinbarra Road from 11 am till 12.30 pm. All enquiries to James on 0428 851 334.

07.01.2022 A very big weekend is all set to go. This Sunday we race on Mt Pappinbarra! Beechwood Road and Pappinbarra Road will be closed to all traffic from 11am till 12.30pm. If you cant make it, you will be able to listen in live on 2WayFM, either on the radio at 103.9 or via their web site 2wayfm.com.au.
