25.01.2022 Talking about mental health with your children will always be hard, especially over the last few weeks where it's been a little too close to home for them and for you. Head down tomorrow night where your kids can be surrounded by their peers and familiar faces for this valuable night.

22.01.2022 Nothing beats a 2 minute finisher before we start a little kickboxing. In their pairs, they run as fast as they can and join the end of the line. The first pair then run and so forth until all pairs have ran. While waiting they complete as many combos as they can. They have 2 minutes before switching to complete the task. See you tomorrow!

22.01.2022 I've been working closely with children and young adults with disabilities for nearly 3 years now as my second job and have been working in mainstream schools for nearly 8 years doing kids classes and this is too true. Children don't understand disability or what makes people with disabilities different and how to respond to it. Everyone deserves to be treated equally, everyone deserves to be high fived at the end of a race even if they came last or be chosen first when team...s are picked. Everyone has strengths and weaknesses, regardless of their abilities you just need to find that strength in them and make them feel the best for it. Bee Fit boxing starts this Wednesday 7th October and Bee Fit schools starts back next week, Thursday 15th October (as you have school photos on the Tuesday). Enjoy your public holiday!

21.01.2022 A few happy snaps of the week. The wind makes all the kids but life will always throw curve balls at you so adapting and having patience with one another is key. The year 5-6 kids worked together to get from point A to point B focusing on patience and communication with one another. They then did a circuit including the tackle bag as a reward because I knew the team activity beforehand would have been a nightmare to get through together. Enjoy your weekends, see you Tuesday 8:15am for morning fitness in the hall year 3-6

21.01.2022 Teamwork is such an important skill in life. Regardless what age, you will always find yourself in situations where you need to work with one or more people to get something done. Start young, create situations where your kids are forced into working together and help them achieve the skill. Help them understand the importance, the different strengths people can bring to the table, the art of listening to each other, cooperation, it just goes on. We only have 1.5 weeks to go and that's it for this year. These are all the emotions I'm feeling, and im sure the kids feel the same Hold in there guys! See you tomorrow for boxing and Thursday for Bee Fit Schools.

21.01.2022 Another year down. Thank you to everyone who has supported my business this year, thank you to all the kids who attended my classes every week and thank you to Strathpine State School P & C Association for making this happen. There was some amazing achievements this year from so many students not just physically but mentally as well. So many achieved goals, beat their fitness test results by triple, became more patient with each other, behaviors became less, skills were gain...ed, self achievements were made, why we need to be fit and healthy sunk in, teamwork improved and most importantly- everyone had fun. With over 100 students participating in Bee Fit every week, some twice a week, some five times a week and some spontaneous- I hope that everyone can keep creating healthy habits for life and making great choices for themselves. Merry Christmas everyone. Have a safe and happy holiday. See you again Tuesday of week 3, Term 1, 2021. Bianca

20.01.2022 Remember to be extra patient with your little ones over the holidays. I know I feel more stressed going to the shops where people are running around like headless chooks, the roads are like peak hour every hour now, and the to-do list is always growing so imagine what your child is thinking and not understanding during the silly season. Help them understand, let them know these emotions are okay and give them some sort of routine to help normalise their day. Most of all- create memories along the way

19.01.2022 What a fantastic day for all the kids and my new PT client today. Everyone worked hard smashing goals and focusing on themselves See you Thursday! 8:15am year 3-6s 9am year 5-6s ... 9:30am prep 1 10am prep 2 See more

18.01.2022 Happy New Year! This year is going to be great. We made it through a 3 day lockdown so we can make it through the year just fine... Can you believe this will be the fourth year of Bee Fit Schools?! There will be a few changes for our classes this year as we welcome a 3rd prep class () onboard. This sadly means the Year 5/6 program won't be on unless we can get funding for it so if you know of anyone that would like to sponsor the program, please let me know. The first wee...k of school is only a few days long, so I'll be starting back WEEK 3 to let the kids settle in. Classes will look like: Week 3, Term 1 Tuesday and Thursday 8:15am Morning Fitness for Years 4-6 9am onwards Prep Programs during school hours At this stage Bee Fit Boxing will be changed to 'boxfit' where we'll be doing half boxing and half fitness exercises. This will continue on Wednesday afternoons, also starting week 3 to not confuse everyone Term 2, 3 and 4 will remain the same as previous years- every Tuesday and Thursday 8:15am start time and week 2 through till week 9 (missing the first and last week of each term) Enjoy the rest of your holidays. Keep safe. See you WEEK 3

18.01.2022 Today's Prep gross motor program outside on this beautiful winters day We did three different circuits and today, little Miss Sophie's confidence blossomed as she did her side kangaroo jumps and ran over the buckets as if a crocodile was chasing after her. Never seen her move so fast with such confidence before. Those "I can't do it" moments always turn into "look at me go!"

18.01.2022 Preparing for tomorrows classes- can anyone guess what we're playing? It was a game show many years ago ;) Tomorrow is my last day at SSS before holidays and I'll be back Week 2 of Term 4. Don't forget the boxing classes start week 1 of term 4 for prep-year 6 on a Wednesday at 3:15pm.

17.01.2022 A few great ideas to help stay off technology these school holidays

16.01.2022 When fitness testing turns into yoga/ who knows what Today was challenging to get through after the heatwave but we got through it and finished our last boxing session for the year with a water balloon fight to cool down See you tomorrow for our last Bee Fit classes of the year.

10.01.2022 Meatless Monday on a Friday to spice our life up in these bizarre times. Pumpkin Risotto is one I'm yet to master but it's simple enough for a quick and easy dinner so I'm okay with spending months trying haha. What's on the menu this week at your house? Did you attempt the shops today? #dinnerideas #dinner #pumpkin #risotto #meatlessmonday #fridaynight #spiceupyourlife #lockdown #quickmeals #easydinner #keepitsimple

09.01.2022 Refreshing our muscle memories ready for tomorrow Make sure tonight your kids get lots of sleep and tomorrow water bottles, hats, shorts (if wearing long pants to school) and healthy foods are packed ready for the day.

07.01.2022 Tomorrow is sports day practice and working on our mindset. It's so important for the kids to understand achievements happen in different ways and are different for everyone. Regardless of the outcome we should remain positive and be happy for what we, and everyone has achieved. Sometimes kids can be so hard on themselves for not coming first or putting their team mates down because they didn't run "fast enough". So we're learning different achievements can be showing up to ...sports day instead of convincing our parents we're sick like we did last year. It could be beating our previous time last year because you know you always come first so setting yourself a goal to beat. It could be doing relays with a team and being happy you completed it as a team instead of yelling at each other because you lost. Be happy with what you achieve and be happy for what others have achieved See more

06.01.2022 I'm super proud of the year 5s and 6s today. Today we did agility but instead of me setting everything up, they worked in pairs to create their own agility course. They took turns timing their partner, beating their previous times, creating new courses and then coming together at the end of the session to design one big course for everyone to try. The time, patience and effort they all put in not just for themselves but for each other is priceless. Enjoy your weekend. See you Tuesday

06.01.2022 I let the kids choose their two teams for our end of session game today- of course they chose year levels. The year 6s were so eager to win so when they lost twice in a row, they thought taking their shoes off would help them win. To their luck, they did win that round but not the round They handled it much better this time round compared to term one which is fantastic to see. Thursday is our next day, 8:15am for morning fitness for year 3-6. See you then

05.01.2022 **Commencing Term 4** Bee Fit Boxing for Fitness is ideal for kids who aren't into sports but still want to be active. The variety each week and small group class means regardless of your child's ability or fitness level, their confidence and fitness will hit an all time high. Bookings are essential.

04.01.2022 It can be hard for 5 year olds to understand the need or see the benefits of having patience which is why active play is so important for the youngster. The 'need' is shown in the top picture. You need to go slow for all the balls to stay in the middle until you can work together, getting the parachute to a good height and speed. The 'benefit' is shown in the bottom picture. Once you have reached the ideal speed and height, you can give the parachute one last big throw in t...he air, in which the balls will explode off the parachute and bring endless laughter and joy to all. Enjoy your long weekend if you haven't already had yours on Monday. See you all Tuesday

04.01.2022 Today's Prep gross motor and fitness class in action working on their cardio, agility, patience and so much more. Sports day is next week so over the weekend please have your kids out doing everything they learn in PE and in Bee Fit. If you need a hand with something please comment below and I can walk you through different steps to help your child be the best they can be on Wednesday

03.01.2022 Yesterday I had a chat with the Year 5-6s about small acts of kindness and how something so small can make a big impact on another persons day without you knowing. One of the students the previous week had let a few people go in front of them in line and I wanted to acknowledge the kindness they did in front of the group because I know in Term 1 this year, that act would have never happened without a fight of some sort. From that one single act of kindness, three people had... benefited- the students who got let in line, myself for seeing it happen making me super proud and then the student who did the act because I noticed and praised them for doing something without anyone telling them to do so or knowing I had seen it. My mum always use to say "treat others the way you want to be treated" and some of these students are doing just that. See you at boxing 3:15pm

03.01.2022 I work in fitness and disability so seeing someone who has combined the two, helping so many reach their full potential warms my heart. Well done to Michael and his team. See you Tuesday for our second last week of the year

03.01.2022 How cool would this be in our local suburbs

02.01.2022 See you all tomorrow for another fantastic term 8:15am- year 3-6 morning fitness 9am- year 5-6 fitness 9:30am- prep 1... 10am- prep 2 https://www.instagram.com/p/CC2Rayphqq7/?igshid=2ule1543lcpg

02.01.2022 Often the kids fight with each other over not doing the correct technique or not putting effort into exercises/ games. They're always focusing on what everyone else is doing instead of their own actions. Could you imagine what they would achieve if they focused on themselves For some kids, just being in the class is them stepping out of their comfort zone so you may not get correct techniques or all their effort because they're trying to focus on just being there. For other... kids, they can do everything with their eyes closed and want more challenging exercises. And of course you've got everyone in between. But at the end of the day, as long as everyone is moving, thats all that matters. They're still kids so being in the class and being around other kids who are there to exercise too, will help them learn and grow so one day they will do the correct technique and give you 100% effort every session. Never give up on them, and in return they will never give up on themselves. What a wild Term 2 it's been. I'm proud of each and every child in all of my classes this term. They have faced some massive challenges but have came out the end stronger both mentally and physically See you Tuesday of week 2, Term 3. Have a safe and happy holidays. Relax because you all deserve a break.
