We learnt how to easily spot wildlife using high powered torches. Point the beam directly to reflect light off the animals’ retina. We spotted spiders eyes up to 20 metres away! 2. Identifying eatable plants, learning the names of herbs and adding nutritious favours to our evening meal 3. Resilience - making do with what we got, ...take only what we need 4. Fundamental gardening skills, how to propagate and how to grow and care for plants 5.
