Once established you can plant it in the ground. Also try bok choy and onion . For herbs, grow by popping basil, mint, rosemary and lemongrass stalks in water for about a week. Change water everyday. 11.01.2022 5 BEST LIFE SKILLS ever! See what the kids learnt at Bee Grubby Camp Out last night! 1. Be present and engage with our natural environment. We learnt how to easily spot wildlife using high powered torches. Point the beam directly to reflect light off the animals’ retina. We spotted spiders eyes up to 20 metres away! 2. Identifying eatable plants, learning the names of herbs and adding nutritious favours to our evening meal 3. Resilience - making do with what we got, ...take only what we need 4. Fundamental gardening skills, how to propagate and how to grow and care for plants 5. Cooking! everything from lighting the fire in the pizza oven, to popping corn, making herb damper from scratch, lemon myrtle tea and enjoying the freshest eggs from the chickens Bee Grubby Holiday Workshops on next week. Take 4 or 5 long stalks, twist together, wrap around your hand to make a ring, then intertwine the lemongrass stalks together to form a wreath. Add a gift tag. 07.01.2022 This little possum has been in the wars... not sure if she has been attacked by a dog or been in a bushfire. First saw her a few weeks ago ... I hadn’t see her in a while but now she back! and is recovering, now a healthier weight, and her fur is growing back. Couldn’t resist giving her a little piece of apple
