15.01.2022 Friday Night Coach Announcement The Buffs are pleased to announce the appointment of John Kennedy as our Friday night coach for 2021. John or as he is commonly referred to as JR was instrumental in our reserves team competing in finals football last year. Usually playing as a forward, he took on a leadership role in the forward line by guiding and giving advice to our young forwards. JR has an impressive playing resume over the last 20 years having played in QLD, Vic Metro,... Vic Country and the TAC Cup for Dandenong Stingrays. He has played in a premiership, won 5 Best & Fairest awards, numerous club and league goal kicking awards along with being named in the VAFA Team of the Year multiple times. It’s fair to say that the lessons and experience JR has picked up along his playing journey will well and truly help him transition into a great coach. Anyone that has been lucky to meet JR throughout his time playing will agree that he is a terrific bloke that has time for everyone, especially mentoring young players. Along with his leadership and experience other key values JR will bring to the job is his undeniable knowledge of the game and his desire to continue to learn more about the game that he has been a part of for all his life. We would like to congratulate JR again and look forward to our players learning from JR’s knowledge and experience. Training for our senior mens teams and colts team starts this Thursday, 6pm at Dauth Park (Restrictions dependant). Training for our womens team starts this Wednesday, 6pm. Anyone interested in playing are welcome to attend.

06.01.2022 The winner of the two AFL grand final tickets is.... Heath Young from our u8s team. Fair to say there would be a very excited boy in the Young household tonight. Congratulations Heath and thank you for being a part of the Buffs. The Buffs decided that all players, helpers and volunteers who were involved in the 2020 season would all be eligible to enter the draw to win the tickets. Rather than auctioning the tickets, we thought this would be a chance for us to thank everyone who are involved in our club with everyone having a chance to win. Thank you to everyone that entered.
