24.01.2022 We’d like to wish all of our families and Kindy friends a happy and safe holiday. Don’t forget to empty those lunch boxes to save any nasty surprises on our first day back

24.01.2022 It was great to see Mums, Dads, Nannas & children from 3 months to 4 years at Playgroup today. There was a lot of fun had by everyone as we enjoyed spending time exploring different activities inside & outside. Our next Playgroup session is in a fortnight, on Wed 4th March 9-11am.

24.01.2022 During the Easter Holidays one of our wonderful familys were very kind and spent their time transforming our Kent Street garden. We look forward to seeing everyone explore our new fairy garden and dinosaur land when they return.

22.01.2022 It has been a busy week at kindy having lots of fun extending on the children’s interests and ideas. Our Lilly Pilly group enjoyed making their own play dough and choosing their favourite colour to take home and enjoy over the break. One of our friends thought a crazy hair day would be a great idea and made a poster to inform the parents. What fun it was to see the many creations proudly worn by everyone. Our Gumtree group have enjoyed using bean bags for music and movement.... They were able to experience sewing with Mrs Campbell and make their own beanbags to take home. Choosing their material, adding either jasmin or rosemary to the bags and then filling them with rice. They also made their own play dough choosing their colours as well. What a great way to end our longest shortest term ever. Mrs Campbell, Mrs Butler, Ms Lahrs and Mrs Ormsby wish you all a safe and happy holiday.

20.01.2022 This week at kindy we had the wonderful Louise from AUSTRALIAN BUSH BUDDIES visit us. The Lilly Pilly group spent time with Taylah the Tawny frogmouth, Crunch the crocodile, Spooky Dooky Dooky Dooky Do the black headed python and Lucy the brush tail possum. The Gumtree group spent time with Taylah again, Wim the most adorable little ring tail possum, Jabba the crocodile and Lucinda the black headed python. (Spooky’s girlfriend). Once again Louise was a wonderful visitor who shares her passion and knowledge about Australian wildlife. We were all very fortunate to be able to either pat or hold all of the animals except Taylah who preferred to grunt at us through the safety of her cage.

19.01.2022 Unfortunately Playgroup and our Kids Yoga classes will no longer start back this week. With our Kindy returning to Kiss & go weve decided its best not to invite others into our Centre to ensure everyones safety during this time. We look forward to providing these services hopefully again soon & will keep you informed

18.01.2022 This week we had a visit from Nate Hamon. Nate brought a bag of rocks to be painted by the children for Logan Rocks (Hidden Rock Movement). Everyone Loved the idea and painted some very beautiful rocks. They were encouraged to hide them in local parks for others to find and hide again. Some of the children decided that it would be best to hide them under their beds or in mummys bed as they werent too keen to give away their rocks. Nate also brought with him his guitar. Children respond well to music, it wasnt long before Nate had a lot of fans. Nate sang for the children some of his original songs called STINKY FEET and WHAT SHOULD I EAT FOR BREAKFAST. Nate also is quite quick with improv, making up a song for our dragons and pirates.

17.01.2022 We are very fortunate to have such an amazing outdoor area that offers so many different experiences for our children. This area will be perfect for our Playgroup friends to explore. Hopefully the rain stays away for our first catch up from 9am - 11am. Remember to check Facebook for regular updates. Everyone is welcome.

16.01.2022 It was so nice to welcome returning & new families to our first ever Playgroup session this morning. We had a wide range of ages and there was something for everyone to explore while the parents also had the opportunity for a chat. After reading The Rainbow Fish & singing our fish songs everyone worked together to create their own rainbow fish. We discussed how important it was to be kind and how this made others happy, which helps make new friends. Everyone is already looking forward to our next session on Wed 19th Feb, in 2 weeks.

12.01.2022 Term 1 Kids Yoga Classes start this Tues 18/2/20 for a 6 week block from 3.50 - 4.30pm. Spaces are limited to ensure high quality sessions. Yoga mats are provided. Please PM for further information. Strive to Thrive Kids Yoga has offered after Kindy Classes for a few years in our Kindy Room. These classes have been very beneficial for our children especially being held in such a familiar environment

12.01.2022 Yay we completed our professional development on Saturday and our Compliance Training today. Were all looking forward to a relaxing holiday & returning for an exciting Term 3

12.01.2022 The wet weather didnt stop us from having fun at Playgroup this morning. We all enjoyed stories, singing songs, our rainbow ring and dancing as a group. Our room was also full of other activities to explore. The next Playgroup session is Wednesday 18th March & everyone is welcome

08.01.2022 Thank you so much to our wonderful kindy families for your generosity. We were amazed at the response to our Christmas food appeal and the St Vincent De Paul Society in Beenleigh were very excited to receive so many baskets, hampers and bags of food and Christmas items this morning. All the items you kindly donated will now be packaged up in hampers and distributed to local families in need this Christmas. I really can’t thank you enough for your contributions and was honored to represent kindy this morning to deliver them. What a positive way to end our kindy year! Katie

07.01.2022 SUN..SOAP..SPACE! Our little friends have been practicing our Sun Soap and Space motto every day at kindy. We wash our hands for 20seconds. The children either count to 20 or sing a little song. We hope our families are enjoying the break, we cannot wait to see you again for term 4.

06.01.2022 Jingerri Jimbelungs Today staff delivered kindy at home bags to our families that are not able to attend kindy. The bags consisted of *art/craft for the children, literacy/numeracy activities and lots of fine motor activities.... *a self care package for the parents *an envelope addressed to child and dad with a Mothers Day activity. (secret squirrel business NO MUMS ALLOWED!) We hope you all enjoy your surprises. Have fun together families. We are missing you.

The vegetable patch is ready for planting & our rocky river run is ready for flowing water when everyone returns.

01.01.2022 This week at kindy we dressed in red for Day for Daniel. We age appropriately discussed why we did this. The children learned about their body clues and different feelings that might be giving us a ‘warning’. We also talked about our ‘5 safe people’. Does your child know about safe people? Someone they know they can trust and talk to.
