24.01.2022 What Are Solid Shampoo Bars? Shampoo bars (which I love) are natural conditioning shampoos in a solid bar form. Although they may seem new to many, solid soap shampoos were commonly used before liquid detergent shampoos became popular in the 1940s. If you are not used to solid shampoo bars the concept may sound a bit strange, but they are WONDERFUL! Perfect if you want to cut back on weight in your travel bag. The conditioner leaves your hair feeling soft and lustrous and you only need a little of it. 22.01.2022 Whats in commercial shampoo? To put it really simply, its not whats in solid shampoo, but what isnt in it. What people dont realize is that whats in shampoo, no matter the price, is essentially water and some version of sodium lauryl sulfate or a derivative of that. Surfactants that are used, whether they are sulfate free or not, if they foam, they will dry your hair out. Detergent is very bad for hair and scalp, it encourages the scalp to get oilier quicker which means that youll have to wash your hair more often. With solid shampoo youll find that you need to wash it less frequently and that your hair will have a lot more bounce and life to it.

11.01.2022 My latest lip balms use a lovely beeswax that smells and tastes of honey. This beeswax is mixed with olive oil (which I brought back from Tuscany), evening primrose oil and rosehip oil.
