07.01.2022 Philip Island Penguins Every night from 6pm you can watch live from Victoria the Penguin Parade, as they walk from the shore to their burrows near the ocean. It's wonderful viewing! The Preps have been singing about things we find in the ocean, so it's a bit of an extra buzz. ... Please share with our facebook families. It's on every night for the time being, and is very educational. They also take children's questions, which is great. Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/PhillipIslandNatureParks/ YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/user/PIPenguinParade We have watched them twice now - so much better entertainment than the news!

07.01.2022 The QLD government has been made aware of some highly graphic footage on apps, such as TikTok, SnapChat, Twitter and others. This is video of a man live-streaming his apparent suicide. The teams from this social media management are currently working to remove and control the situation until then it is recommended that all children are kept away from all social media for the next fortnight and adults proceed with caution. Parenting in the virtual world.. Parents I believe t...his is one of the greatest challenges you face as we embrace technology. I cannot stress enough the need for parents to be well informed of their child’s online behaviour and the digital footprint they are creating. Some very concerning reports have emerged of late in regard to issues related to CyberSafety. The eSafety website has some really useful information to support you to do this. In our community, we embrace technology for learning. At school technology is not for entertainment or communication. It is important that parents remind their children about the ICT Agreement that parents sign, noting the following and having conversations with your children about expectations. We have recently faced some online bullying with our students. Learners who do this will be asked to turn off their computers or iPads, contact their parents and may lose the privilege of using their iPads for a time. See more
