09.01.2022 We are live this morning with the legendary record digger, DJ and producer #JohnnyIdem. If Idem had a dollar for every time he has been mentioned on #BeersBeatsAndTheBiz, he’d be good for a $10 loan at very least. From his days as an early member of DMA, to producing Raise’s The Essence, Trem’s 1992, demos with Seany B and The Prowls tape, we talk digging, travelling and being involved in pivotal moments within the culture. Johnny has travelled the globe, buying and selling records to some of our favourite local and international artists, we talk all that shit with a man who has spent his life in and out of record crates. 02.01.2022 We spoke at some length about Hunter and Mortar’s Fear And Loathing on the latest episode. @mortarshell went into his friendship and the process involved in creating an amazing concept record while Hunter was undergoing treatment for cancer. Jake is still listening to Fear And Loathing in the car at the moment, the production and flow of the album is dope, Hunter and Mortar bounce off one another with humour and raw emotion.. It’s a great album! RIP Hunter and thanks to Mortar for the stories and science! #BBATB2020 get it in ya ears now. #tbtws
