25.01.2022 Deb Frecklington MP and I have announced that an LNP Government will commit $63,000 for an electronic scoreboard for the Beerwah Sportsground, $20,000 to provid...e electricity for the Glass House Country Horse and Pony Club and $20,000 to the Beerwah Youth and Community Centre for a new kitchen. We have been listening, understanding and now responding to the needs of the Beerwah community and these are three very important projects for Beerwah and the surrounding area. #VoteLNP this October! 24.01.2022 During the current three-day Greater Brisbane lock down (until 6pm Monday 11 January), you will be required to stay at home unless leaving for essential purpo...ses There are also further restrictions in place to prevent the spread of the Coronavirus 'UK strain'. Evidence shows that this variant is up to 70 percent more infectious than other variants. This means this variant can infect people much more easily than the current variant we have seen in Queensland. To help you understand these restrictions, please swipe across or see below No more than two visitors to the household per day (in addition to anyone else currently staying in the household), excluding care workers or volunteers Restaurants and cafes to provide takeaway service only Cinemas, entertainment and recreation venues, gyms etc to close Places of worship to close Weddings involve a maximum of 10 people, including the celebrant and witnesses Funerals involve a maximum of 20 people Mandatory mask wearing anywhere outside of your home No visitors to aged care facilities, hospitals, disability accommodation services or correctional facilities All businesses that can remain open must adhere to one person per 4 square metres with maximum of 20 to 50 with COVID Safe or Industry Plan

11.01.2022 We have said it before and we will say it again and we will keep saying it if we have to....COVID IS NOT AN EXCUSE TO ABUSE US!!!!! The past few weeks, and even months, have been tough for all Aussies, as we struggle to grasp with these unprecedented times of uncertainly and concerns for our collective health. With new health measures and national infection statistics emerging daily, many are finding it hard not to be swept up in the panic. However, even more alarming, is the... human behavior that we have seen . No amount of stress, no extent of shopping chaos and certainly no control of government policy’s can justify customer abuse. ALL workers have the right to feel safe at work. Please be reminded COVID-19 IS NOT AN EXCUSE FOR ABUSE if you choose to visit our grounds there is new changes and new policy’s if you are unable to comply we will ask you to leave or refuse entry, be reminded we as the Sportsground committee don’t make these rules they are policies and procedures out there for the safety of each one of us. Thankyou again to everyone that has been understanding during this time. Remember it’s important that you call ahead to make a booking to ensure we have the space and you are fully self contained. 02.01.2022 Just the heads up for anyone with children roaming the street of Beerwah at night... I suggest you know where they are and what they are up to. The Beerwah Sportsground once again was vandalized over night, power disconnected stock lost in sheds and buildings and toilet block trashed with toilet paper. We have camera footage thankfully which will be given to the police today and a official complaint lodged for these young children to pay back the out of pocket cost. It’s not ok and we will not accept it any longer, this is a community ground and very hard to source funds and financial support when things get damaged.
